Alright, listen up, y’all. I’m gonna tell ya somethin’ ’bout these wrestling folks, the ones they call “released from WWE.” Don’t rightly know what all them letters mean, but it’s somethin’ ’bout wrestlin’, I reckon.
Them Wrestlers and Their Jobs
So, these folks, they wrestle. Big, strong fellas and some tough gals, too. They jump around, they slam each other down, they pretend to be mad, real mad. And folks like watchin’ it, ya know? But sometimes, these wrestlers, they just ain’t wrestlin’ no more. They get “released,” they say. Like lettin’ a chicken out the coop, I guess, but maybe not as happy.
- Some get let go all of a sudden, like a surprise rainstorm. Heard tell some fellas and gals got the boot just last year, in 2024. Don’t know the exact date, but it was ’round the time the leaves started fallin’, I think.
- Then there’s others, they get told they’re done later in the year. Like that fella, Dolph somethin’-or-other. They said bye-bye to him in September, the 21st, I heard. He was a big deal, they say. One of the “biggest releases,” whatever that means.
- And sometimes, it ain’t just one or two. Sometimes it’s a whole bunch! Like three of ‘em all at once! Folks were real surprised, like findin’ a snake in your henhouse.
Why They Get Released
Now, I ain’t no expert, but from what I hear, these “releases” happen for all sorts of reasons.
Maybe they ain’t popular no more. Like a song that gets old and nobody wants to hear it. Or maybe they get hurt. Wrestlin’ ain’t no picnic, ya know? Lots of jumpin’ and fallin’. Breaks bones, I bet. Or maybe, just maybe, the folks in charge, they just wanna change things up. Get some new faces in there. Like plantin’ new seeds in the garden.
The SmackDown Shake-Up
Heard tell there’s a new TV deal comin’ for this “SmackDown” show. Starts next October, they say. Maybe that’s got somethin’ to do with it. New deal, new wrestlers? Makes sense, I guess. Like gettin’ new curtains when you get a new window.
More Names on the List
Seems like every now and then, they let go of a bunch more. Just last Thursday, they say, another bunch got the news. And then there was this girl, used to be a champion, they say. Her and another one, both got let go. Folks were sad about that, real sad.
What Happens After?
Now, what happens to these wrestlers after they get “released”? Well, some of ’em, they just disappear. Like a whisper in the wind. Others, they go off and do other things. Maybe they start wrestlin’ somewhere else. Maybe they open a store, sellin’ things. Or maybe they just go home, sit on the porch, and watch the grass grow.
One of them gals, the one named Indi somethin’, she started talkin’ on that there YouTube thing. Told folks how she was doin’. Took her a while, though. Guess she needed some time to think things over.
Comin’ Back Around
And then, there’s the surprise ones. Like that fella, CM somethin’, he came back after bein’ gone a long time. Showed up at somethin’ called “Survivor Series” in 2023. And that other one, John Cena, he popped up unexpected-like in somethin’ called the “Royal Rumble” way back in 2008. So, ya never know. Sometimes they go, and sometimes they come back. Like a stray cat that keeps showin’ up on your porch lookin’ for food.
So, that’s the story of these “released from WWE” folks, as best as I can tell ya. It’s a strange business, this wrestlin’. Up one day, down the next. Just like life, I reckon.
