Alright, let’s talk about this Mets and Brewers baseball stuff, you know, the game where they hit the ball and run around.
Mets versus Brewers, who’s winning?
So, I heard on the TV, those Brewers, they been beatin’ up on the Mets lately. Someone said since 2024, the Brewers won 5 games and the Mets only won 1. That don’t sound too good for them Mets, huh? Heard they even lost a World Series back in ’82, to them Cardinals. Someone called them “Harvey’s Wallbangers” back then, sounded like a bunch of troublemakers to me. They almost made it back in 2018 too, almost ain’t good enough though, is it?
Now, I saw this fella, Francisco Lindor, he plays for the Mets I think. He hit that ball real far, outta the park they said. Got him two runs, but seems like it wasn’t enough. They also got this other fella, Mark Vientos, he hit the ball hard too, broke a tie they said. But still, them Brewers, they just kept hittin’.
What about them players, who’s good?
They got a whole bunch of fellas on them teams, hard to keep track of ‘em all. Someone was talkin’ about who got the most strikeouts for the Mets, and who won some fancy award, the “Cy Young” they called it. Don’t know much about that stuff, just sounds like they throw the ball real good. They got lists of fellas who played the most games against each other, Mets against the Brewers, you know, like who done the best and who done the worst. But honestly, it’s all just a bunch of names to me. Too many fellas, too many numbers.
The game, how’d it go?
So, there was this game, Mets playing at the Brewers’ place, “American Family Field” they call it. Sounded fancy. Started at night, 7:38, way past my bedtime if you ask me. They was sayin’ it was some kinda “Wild Card” game, guess that means it’s important. Sounded like it was a close game though. One minute the Mets was up, next minute the Brewers was up. This fella, J.D. Martinez, he plays for the Brewers, he smacked that ball and got two fellas home. Put the Brewers ahead, they said. See, that’s what happens when you hit the ball good.
- Brewers got good hitters. They just keep hittin’ and hittin’. That Martinez fella, he sounds like a real handful.
- Mets got some good hitters too. Lindor and Vientos, they can hit that ball, but seems like they need more fellas to help out.
- Brewers been winning lately. 5-1 since 2024, that ain’t no accident. They must be doin’ somethin’ right.
Anyways, that’s what I heard about them Mets and Brewers. Baseball, it’s a funny game. One day you’re winnin’, the next day you’re losin’. Just gotta keep swingin’ that bat and hopin’ for the best, I guess.
Last 20 games, you say? I ain’t got time to look at every single game, but they say the Brewers been winning more. All them numbers and letters on the screen, AB, R, H… I ain’t no mathematician, I tell ya. Just tell me who won, that’s all I care about. And it sounds like them Brewers been winning more lately.
So, if you ask me, the Brewers look stronger right now. But baseball, it’s a long season, anything can happen. Them Mets could turn things around. Or maybe they won’t. Who knows? That’s why they play the game, ain’t it?
