Okay, so, I’ve been trying to get those big, plump lips everyone’s crazy about. I tried a bunch of stuff, and I’m here to share what worked and what didn’t.
My Lip Adventure
First, I started with the basics. I grabbed some lip liner and tried to draw just outside my natural lip line. I gotta say, it did make a bit of a difference. Then I filled them in with a lipstick that was just a shade lighter than the liner. It was okay, not a huge change but it was something.
Then I saw something about using shimmery lip gloss. I dabbed some on the center of my lips, and wow! It did make them look fuller. I felt like I was really getting somewhere with this whole big lip thing.
- Lip liner: Draw slightly outside your natural lip line.
- Lipstick: Use a shade slightly lighter than the liner to fill in.
- Shimmery lip gloss: Apply to the center of your lips for a fuller look.
But, you know, I’m always up for trying something a little more…out there. I found this tip online about using Vaseline and cayenne pepper. Yeah, you heard that right. I mixed a bit of Vaseline with a pinch of cayenne pepper and put it on my lips. It burned like crazy! I mean, it really stung. My lips did plump up, but I’m not sure if it was worth the pain.
After that spicy experiment, I went back to makeup. I used a highlighter on my cupid’s bow and the center of my lower lip. That really added some dimension and made my lips pop. Finally, I chose a lipstick with a satin finish. This seemed to work way better than the matte ones I usually wear, making my lips look a lot fuller and juicier.
So, that’s my journey to bigger lips. Some things worked great, some were a little crazy, but hey, it was all in the name of beauty, right? I think I’m gonna stick with the lip liner, gloss, and highlighter combo for now. Maybe I’ll try the cayenne pepper again someday, but I’ll need to think about that one, because that was intense!
