Well, let me tell you about this girl, Bianca Pagdanganan. She was born in Quezon City, Philippines, on the 28th of October, 1997. Her mom and dad, Sam and Bing Pagdanganan, they raised her up right, along with her two other siblings. Now, she’s just 27 years old, but she’s done more in her life than some folks do in a whole lifetime!
She went to a school called Assumption Antipolo, finished up there in 2015. After that, she didn’t waste any time sittin’ around. This girl, she’s got drive! She went on to become a big name in the world of golf. Before she turned pro, she made quite a splash in the amateur golf scene. Back in 2018, she won a bronze medal in the women’s individual event at the Asian Games. Can you believe that? A bronze medal! That’s a big deal for anyone, and especially for a young woman just starting out.
Now, I reckon you might not have heard of her, but Bianca’s been around the block a few times. She joined the LPGA Tour in 2020, which is the big league for women’s golf. Ain’t easy to make it to the LPGA, but Bianca did. She’s a fighter, always working hard and trying to improve her game. Her first couple of years were about getting comfortable out there, learning the ropes, and proving to everyone she belonged. And let me tell you, she sure did!
She’s got a real steady hand when it comes to her game, always working on her technique, making sure that every shot counts. Though, it’s not all been easy. Bianca’s still searchin’ for her first win on tour. But I’m sure it won’t be long before she gets that victory. She’s shown that she can hang with the best of ’em, and it’s only a matter of time before she gets that trophy!
One of the things that stands out about Bianca is her consistency. She doesn’t hit the highest scores like some of the big stars, but she’s always right there in the mix. That’s the mark of a true competitor. She’s worked hard to improve every single day, and you can see that in her game.
Now, back in 2017-18, when she was still in school at the University of Arizona, she led her team with a 72.74 scoring average. That’s real good, especially in college golf. She was also part of a national championship team, so you know she’s got some serious skills. She even tied for first place at the Dick McGuire Invitational with a score of 208, which is a real good score!
What I love about Bianca is that she doesn’t let setbacks slow her down. She keeps pushing, always striving to be better. Even when she made her debut at the U.S. Women’s Open, it wasn’t a cakewalk. But she stuck with it, made it through, and kept her head up high. That’s the kind of attitude that’ll take her far.
So, what’s next for this young woman? Well, you can bet she’ll keep on improving. There’s no doubt in my mind that she’s going to grab a win soon. And who knows? Maybe a few more medals, a championship or two down the road. She’s got the heart, she’s got the grit, and she sure has the game. Bianca Pagdanganan, remember the name!
