Alright, so today I wanna talk about my experience with Section 325 at Petco Park. I went there to watch a game, and let me tell you, it was quite an adventure.
First off, I got to the park and had to find the drop-off zones. They are located on both the west and east sides, which is pretty convenient. On the west side, I used 6th Avenue and K Street, and on the east side, I went with 10th Avenue and Park Boulevard. Getting dropped off was smooth, no issues there.
Then I headed to Section 325. It’s up there, you know, not exactly front and center. I climbed up to row 25, and let me say, the view is… interesting. You get a decent look at the field, but the right field corner near the foul pole is obstructed. Couldn’t see everything happening down there, which was a bit of a bummer.
Also, be warned, if you’re there during the day, you’re in full sun. And if it’s an evening game, you’re looking directly into the setting sun. I had to squint a lot, and honestly, it was a bit uncomfortable. Bring sunglasses or a hat, trust me on this one.
- View: Right field corner obstructed.
- Sun: Full sun exposure during the day, setting sun during evening games.
- Overall: Not the best, but not the worst either.
I did check out some photos of the seating view online beforehand. There are some high-quality images that give you a preview, but nothing beats being there in person. I also tried using an interactive seat map to find better seats, but 325 was what I ended up with.
There was this one game, WC Game-2 on 10-02-2024, where we won 10-0. The view from home plate to the left field foul pole was great, and I could see the Petco JumboTron screen clearly. Since I was in the last row at the top, I got an extra bonus view of the surroundings, which was kinda cool.
Now, I heard the suites at Petco Park are luxurious. I didn’t get to experience that, but apparently, they have hardwood floors, granite countertops, and leather seating. Maybe next time I’ll splurge a bit and try to get into one of those.
Final Thoughts
So, would I recommend Section 325? Eh, it’s a mixed bag. It’s not the fanciest spot, but it gets the job done. If you don’t mind the obstructed view and the sun situation, go for it. Otherwise, you might want to look for seats elsewhere. I managed to enjoy the game, but it wasn’t perfect. That’s my two cents on Section 325 at Petco Park.
