Alright, let’s talk about my journey with Sally in Dislyte. It feels like ages ago now, but I remember pulling her pretty clearly.

Getting Started with Sally
I got Sally from a Gold Record pull, wasn’t really expecting a legendary healer at that point. My first thought was, “Oh, neat, a support.” Her design looked kinda cool, that mermaid vibe. Didn’t know much about her skills yet, just figured another healer couldn’t hurt.
So, I started leveling her up, just throwing whatever EXP stuff I had at her. The usual grind, you know? Took her through some story stages to get a feel for things. Her basic heal, the S1, seemed okay, nothing special at first glance. But then I started looking closer at her other skills.
Figuring Out Her Kit
Her S2, Universal Tune, caught my eye. Cleansing debuffs? That sounded useful. I remember running into stages where my guys got bogged down with poisons or defense breaks, and I thought maybe she could help there. Started testing that out specifically.
Then there was her big skill, Ode to Joy, the S3. It healed, sure, but the description mentioned damage reduction too. That seemed like the real deal. I started pumping resources into upgrading her skills, focusing on getting that S3 cooldown lower and the damage reduction percentage higher.
- Started with basic leveling.
- Focused on skill upgrades, especially S3.
- Tried her in stages known for heavy debuffs.
Relic Experiments
Figuring out relics took some trial and error. Man, did it take some time. At first, I just slapped on whatever HP% main stat pieces I had from the Wind Walker set, thinking speed is always good. It was okay, she cycled turns faster, but her heals didn’t feel super impactful, and the damage reduction wasn’t up as often as I liked.

Then I thought, maybe cooldown is the way? So I farmed up an Ocean Waves set. Getting those resets on her S3 felt much better. More uptime on that damage reduction was definitely noticeable. I focused hard on getting HP% and Speed substats. It was a grind finding the right pieces.
Eventually, I settled on a mix. For a long time, I ran Ocean Waves and the Master Grove set (for more HP). Getting her speed high enough while maintaining huge HP pools was the main goal. She needs to survive and she needs to go often enough to keep those buffs/cleanses rolling.
Putting Her to the Test
I started slotting Sally into almost all my teams for progression.
In tougher Story chapters and Cube Miracle, that S3 damage reduction was a lifesaver. It gave my damage dealers breathing room. And the S2 cleanse was clutch against annoying control units or DOTs.
For boss fights like Kronos, she helped stabilize runs early on. Keeping the team alive through the big slams was her main job there. Less useful maybe against Apep because of all the poisons, but the cleanse still helped sometimes.

In Point War (PvP), she became a cornerstone of my slower, tankier teams. Paired her with other defensive units like Gabrielle or Donar back in the day. Her ability to cleanse stuns or AP down from the enemy team often turned fights around. She wasn’t about speed-cleaving, more about outlasting the opponent.
Final Thoughts Now
So, after all this time using her, what’s the verdict? Sally’s solid. Really solid. She was my go-to healer and defensive support for a long, long time. Even now, with tons of new Espers released, I still bring her out for certain challenges, especially if I need that specific combo of healing, damage reduction, and cleanse.
She takes investment, especially in relics and skill-ups, to really shine. You need good HP and decent Speed. But the effort paid off for me. She carried my account through a lot of mid-game content and remained relevant well into the late game. Definitely a reliable Esper, happy I pulled her back then.
