Okay, so I wanted to figure out the best moveset for Togekiss in Pokemon Go. I’ve always liked Togekiss, ever since I used it in the main games. It’s a pretty tough Pokemon and can be a real powerhouse if you set it up right. I started out by doing some digging around to see what other people were saying.
I noticed a lot of people were talking about Hidden Power. Apparently, if you get lucky, you can get an Ice or Dragon-type Hidden Power, which is great for taking down specific bosses. Like, Dragon-type Hidden Power is good against Palkia, and Ice-type is best for Rayquaza. That’s pretty cool. I started wondering if I had any Togekiss with those Hidden Powers.
Checked My Togekiss
- Dug through my Pokemon storage – I checked all my Togekiss, looked at their moves, and I didn’t have any with those specific Hidden Powers. Bummer.
- Considered other moves – It seemed like Charm was the way to go for a Fast Attack, because it’s a good match with Flying-type.
After seeing Charm was commonly recommended, I decided to try it out. I already had a pretty strong Togekiss, so I gave it Charm using a TM. Then I took it into some raids and battles to see how it performed. Charm did pack a solid punch. It felt pretty good using it against different types of Pokemon, especially Fighting, Bug, and Dark-type, because Fairy-type moves are super effective against them. The Togekiss is a powerful and cute Pokemon!
For Charged Attacks, I figured Dazzling Gleam would be a good choice since it’s a Fairy-type move and gets that same-type attack bonus. Plus, it’s just a strong move in general. I also experimented with Flamethrower. It’s a Fire-type move, so it’s good against Steel-type Pokemon, which can be a problem for Togekiss. With these two Charged Attacks, Togekiss felt like it could handle a wider range of opponents.
Then I looked at some counters for Togekiss. I saw that Pokemon like Necrozma – Dusk Mane, Shadow Metagross, Mega Gengar, Shadow Rampardos, Mega Diancie, and Shadow Raikou are all tough opponents for Togekiss. That makes sense because they’re all strong Steel or Rock-type Pokemon. I figured I should keep that in mind when choosing my battles.
My Final Thoughts
So, after all that experimenting and trying things out, I decided that the best moveset for my Togekiss is probably:
- Fast Attack: Charm
- Charged Attacks: Dazzling Gleam and Flamethrower
It felt like this combo gave me the most versatility and power. Of course, those special Hidden Powers would be awesome, but this setup worked really well for me. I was able to win more battles and take down some tough raid bosses. It’s definitely a moveset I’d recommend trying out if you’re a Togekiss fan!
