So, I wanted to get one of those fancy “hey over here” lightcones, right? I saw it online, and it looked pretty cool, figured it’d be a nice addition to my room. First, I looked it up online, and wow, there are so many options! It’s like, where do you even start?
I spent a good chunk of time just browsing through different online stores. Some were selling it with free shipping, which was tempting. I saw this one site, I think it was called Wayfair or something, and they had tons of these lightcones. But, you know, I’m always a bit hesitant to buy stuff online without seeing it first.
Then I thought, maybe I could find something similar at a local store. I remembered seeing some cool lighting stuff at SHEIN once, so I went there, but no luck. They had some nice home decor stuff, but not what I was looking for.
I also did some digging on what these lightcones are actually used for. It seems like they’re great for camping or night hiking, kind of like a torch. I even found this solar-powered one called “Bionic Spotlight Duo” that turns on when it detects motion. Pretty neat, huh?
But I was still set on finding that specific “hey over here” lightcone. I stumbled upon this brand called “Bover”, apparently they make really good lights. Their story is pretty interesting too, something about the idea starting on a napkin. It got me thinking, maybe it’s worth investing in a good quality one.
Trying Out Different Options
I decided to order a couple of different lightcones from different places, just to compare. One was from that Bover brand, and another was a cheaper one from an online store. I figured, why not? I could always return them if they weren’t what I wanted.
While I was waiting for the lightcones to arrive, I started looking into other things I might need for my room. I found this cool hedge trimmer from EGO POWER+, it’s got these blades that go super fast, like 3,400 strokes per minute. I don’t really need a hedge trimmer, but it looked cool, so I bookmarked it.
Then I got distracted and ended up looking at headphones on this Egyptian website called 2b egypt. They had a huge selection, and the prices were pretty good. I didn’t buy any, but it was fun to browse.
Finally Got My Lightcones
The lightcones finally arrived a few days later. The Bover one was definitely nicer, it felt more solid and well-made. The other one was okay, but it felt a bit flimsy in comparison.
I played around with them for a while, trying them out in different parts of my room. The Bover lightcone definitely gave off a better light, it was brighter and more focused. The cheaper one was alright, but the light was a bit scattered.
In the end, I decided to keep the Bover lightcone. It was a bit more expensive, but I think it’s worth it for the quality. Plus, it just looks really cool in my room. The other one I’m probably going to return.
So yeah, that’s my little adventure with the “hey over here” lightcone. It was a bit of a process, but I’m happy with what I ended up with. Sometimes it’s worth taking the time to find the right thing, even if it takes a bit of searching.
