Alright, guys, so I’ve been messing around with F1 22 again, and this time I wanted to really nail down a good setup for the Saudi Arabia track. It’s a tricky one, super fast with those long straights and tight corners. Here’s what I did and how it worked out.

First Attempts… Not So Great
My first few tries? Total disaster. I was either spinning out or just way too slow. I started with a pretty basic setup, focusing on low downforce for speed, but I just couldn’t keep the car stable through those fast, sweeping corners. It felt like I was driving on ice!
Tweaking the Aero
So, I knew I needed more downforce, but not too much to kill my straight-line speed. I started by bumping up the front wing aero a bit, and then a little on the rear wing too. I was trying to find that sweet spot where I could still hit high speeds but not fly off the track.
Suspension Adjustments
Next up was the suspension. This track has some pretty nasty bumps, and I wanted to make sure the car could handle them without bouncing around like crazy. I softened the front suspension a little and also played around with the anti-roll bars. The goal was to get the car to feel more planted and predictable.
Tyre Pressures are Key
Tyre pressures are ALWAYS important, but especially here. Too high, and you lose grip; too low, and the car feels sluggish. I experimented a bit and found that running slightly lower pressures than the default gave me better grip through the corners without sacrificing too much speed.
Brakes, Brakes, Brakes
With those high-speed corners, you need good brakes. I didn’t change too much here, just adjusted the brake bias a little more towards the front to help with stopping power when I’m hitting those corners hard.

Transmission Tuning
- I messed a bit with the on-throttle and off-throttle.
The Final Result (For Now!)
After a few hours of tweaking and testing, I finally got a setup that I’m pretty happy with. The car feels much more stable through the corners, and I’m still able to hit some decent speeds on the straights. It’s not perfect, and I’m sure I’ll keep making small adjustments, but it’s a HUGE improvement from where I started.
Remember, this is just what worked for me. Everyone has their own driving style, so you might need to make some changes to fit your preferences. But hopefully, this gives you a good starting point!
