Alright, so I wanted to take a look back at the 2012 NBA free agency class. It’s been a while, so I figured it’d be fun to revisit who was available and where they ended up.

First, I pulled up a list of the free agents from that year. I just did a quick search and easily found the info I needed in the search *, seeing some of those names brought back memories!
Digging into the 2012 Free Agents
I started by just scanning the list, trying to remember the big names. There were definitely a few guys who were highly sought after. I remember thinking at the time how much these signings were going to shake up the league.
- I focused on a few key players that I remembered, like Deron Williams and Eric Gordon, and some others. I wanted to see where they ended up and how they performed after signing their new contracts.
- Then I went team by team.I want to see the trade details of other teams.
- I checked out some old news articles and analysis from back then. It was interesting to see what people were saying at the time, and how their predictions matched up with what actually happened.
Finally,I organized all detail in my notebook.
It was a fun little trip down memory lane. It’s crazy how much the league has changed since then, but it’s always cool to look back at these pivotal moments like the 2012 free agency.
