Okay, so today I was messing around with some prediction stuff, specifically for the Bellucci vs. Shelton match. It’s for the Wimbledon 2024, Round of 128. Yeah, it’s still a bit far off, but I like to get ahead of things.

First off, I pulled up the ATP rankings. You know, just to get a feel for where these guys stand. Shelton is at No. 14, which is pretty solid. Bellucci is way down at No. 148. That already gave me some ideas, but rankings aren’t everything, right?
Then, I looked at the head-to-head odds. Shelton was favored at -278, which means he’s the clear favorite according to the bookies. I like to see what the “smart money” is thinking, even though I don’t always agree.
I also saw that Shelton has a 71% win probability, at least according to one source. I’m not sure exactly how they came up with that number, but it’s another piece of the puzzle.
After that, I checked out the schedule. The match is set for Day 1, on Monday, July 1st. So I’ve got some time to refine my prediction. Also, I read some previews, I think it’s from “Ace”. The preview and analysis is pretty good.
Next, I dug into their recent performances. Shelton has been doing pretty well, picking up some good wins. Bellucci, on the other hand, has struggled a bit more. But hey, everyone has their ups and downs.

- Looked at ATP rankings: Shelton (14), Bellucci (148).
- Checked head-to-head odds: Shelton favored (-278).
- Noted win probability: Shelton 71%.
- Confirmed match schedule: Day 1, Monday, July 1st.
- Reviewed recent performance: Shelton doing well, Bellucci struggling.
Putting It All Together
So, after all that, I’m leaning towards Shelton. He’s ranked higher, the odds are in his favor, and he’s been playing better lately. But, I’m not gonna just blindly follow the numbers. I watched some of their past matches, you know, just to see how they play on grass, their styles, and stuff. Shelton‘s serve is a beast, and he seems pretty comfortable on grass. Bellucci has a decent all-around game, but I think he’ll have a tough time with Shelton‘s power.
In the end, I’m predicting a Shelton win, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Bellucci puts up a good fight, maybe even takes a set. I’m gonna keep an eye on them as Wimbledon approaches, maybe tweak my prediction a bit if needed. But for now, that’s my take. What do you guys think? Let me know in the comments!
