Okay, here is my sharing about “becky lynch elbow”:
So I saw this news about Becky Lynch, the WWE Raw Women’s Champ, having elbow surgery. Got me thinking about all the times I’ve dealt with my own aches and pains from working out, and figured I’d share my recent elbow saga.
A few weeks ago, I started noticing this dull ache in my right elbow. Nothing major at first, just a little something after lifting weights or doing push-ups. I tried to ignore it, you know, like you do. Figured it was just a bit of soreness that would go away on its own.
I kept on with my regular routine: hitting the gym, doing some yoga, even helped a buddy move some furniture. But the ache started getting worse, a little sharper, a little more insistent. It got to the point where even simple stuff like picking up a grocery bag or typing for too long would make it flare up. I realized, “Okay, dummy, this isn’t going away.”
I did what any sensible person would do: I complained about it to anyone who would listen and then started Googling. Big mistake, should never google your health problem. WebMD had me convinced I had everything from tennis elbow to some rare, exotic disease. I even saw some video about Becky Lynch being escorted backstage by WWE officials, which only made me more worried.
After a few days of self-diagnosing and worrying, I finally caved and went to see a doctor. Turns out, it was just a minor strain. The doc gave me some exercises, told me to take it easy on the heavy lifting for a while, and recommended some ice and heat therapy.
- First, I rested my elbow as much as possible, avoiding any activities that aggravated the pain. This was harder than it sounds, especially when you’re used to being active.
- Next, I started doing some gentle stretching and strengthening exercises, the ones the doctor recommended. I found some good videos online that showed how to do them properly.
- Then, I used a combination of ice and heat. Ice for the first couple of days to reduce inflammation, then heat to loosen things up.
- Finally, I gradually eased back into my regular workout routine, paying close attention to how my elbow felt and backing off if I felt any pain.
It took a few weeks, but I’m happy to say my elbow is feeling much better now. I’m back to lifting, doing push-ups, and all that good stuff. I even heard that Becky Lynch is already on the road to recovery after her surgery, which is awesome.
Lesson learned
Listen to your body! Don’t ignore pain, especially if it’s getting worse. And maybe, just maybe, don’t rely on the internet for medical advice. Go see a real doctor if you’re worried about something. They are much more professional than me.
