Okay, so today I wanted to share something a bit different, something I’ve been messing around with lately. It’s about this crossword puzzle clue I found in the LA Times, “avoids injury.”
First, I grabbed my phone and started looking up this clue online. I typed in “avoids injury crossword clue” into the search bar, just to see what would pop up. I saw a bunch of different websites that had crossword answers, so I started clicking around.
- I found one site that said it had the answer for the July 13, 2024, LA Times crossword. That seemed promising.
- Another site boasted about having 30 possible answers! I thought, “Wow, that’s a lot for one clue.”
- I even stumbled upon a site that mentioned something about “Bob down to avoid injury.” That made me chuckle a bit.
After browsing a few more pages, I finally decided to just try and figure it out myself. I remembered reading somewhere that the LA Times crosswords get harder throughout the week. Since this one was from a Saturday, I figured it must be pretty tough.
I grabbed a pen and paper and started brainstorming words related to avoiding injury. I jotted down a few ideas, crossed some out, and kept at it. I thought about different ways to say “avoid,” like “dodge” or “evade,” but nothing seemed to fit just right.
Then I started thinking about the word “injury.” I wrote down synonyms, like “harm” or “damage,” but still, no luck. I even considered if it might be some kind of phrase or idiom, but nothing came to mind.
Finally, after staring at the clue for a good while, I decided to check one of those crossword solver sites again. And there it was, the answer, staring right back at me. I felt a little silly for not getting it myself, but hey, that’s how it goes sometimes, right?
So, that was my little adventure with the “avoids injury” crossword clue. It was a fun little challenge, and it reminded me that sometimes the answer is right there in front of you, and you just need a little nudge to see it. Or maybe you just need to look it up online, no shame in that game.
The Experience Reflection
This whole thing got me thinking about how we go about solving problems in general. Sometimes we try to do everything ourselves, and sometimes we ask for help. And sometimes, even with help, we still struggle. But the important thing is to keep trying, right? And to not be afraid to look for answers in unexpected places, even if it’s just a silly crossword puzzle clue.
