- I paid special attention to what the pros were saying about their performance in different game modes: Contingency Contract, Integrated Strategies, regular stages, you name it.
- I jotted down notes like crazy, highlighting operators that kept popping up as “must-haves” or “game-changers.”
Step 2: My Own Damn Gameplay
- Okay, reading stuff is cool, but you gotta actually PLAY the game, right? I started using the operators that seemed promising in my own squads.
- I tried them out in different roles, different team comps, different maps. You know, the whole nine yards.
- I paid close attention to their strengths and weaknesses. Did they melt enemies? Were they surprisingly tanky? Did they have some kind of niche utility that made them clutch in certain situations? I wrote it ALL down.

- I decided on a pretty standard tier list format: S, A, B, C, and D.
- S-Tier: These are the absolute gods. The operators that can solo stages, carry your team, and generally make you feel like a tactical genius. Think Surtr, SilverAsh, Eyjafjalla – you know, the big names.
- A-Tier: These are your reliable workhorses. They’re strong, versatile, and can fit into most team comps. Think Exusiai, Blaze, Thorns.
- B-Tier: These guys are decent, but maybe a bit niche or require specific team support. They’re good for filling gaps in your roster.
- C-Tier: These are the operators you’re probably not gonna use unless you’re really trying to challenge yourself or have some kind of waifu/husbando dedication.
- D-Tier: Let’s be real, these guys are probably gonna collect dust.
Step 4: The Great Debates (with Myself)
- This is where it got tricky. Deciding who goes where is TOUGH.
- I spent hours agonizing over whether certain operators were truly S-Tier material or just A-Tier with some heavy investment.
- I re-watched videos, re-read guides, and even re-ran stages to see if I could justify my choices.

- Finally, after way too much time and effort, I had my tier list.
- Now, I’m not saying my tier list is the DEFINITIVE word on Arknights operators. It’s just my opinion, based on my experience and playstyle.
- The meta is always changing, and new operators are always being released, so this is definitely a living document.
