Alright, listen up, y’all. Let’s talk about them Dallas Cowboys, the ones they call “America’s Team.” Hmph, some team! Folks keep jabberin’ ’bout them Cowboys, always somethin’ goin’ on.
Cheaters? That’s what some folks are hollerin’. I don’t know nothin’ ’bout football rules, mind you. Too much runnin’ around and thumpin’ for this old lady. But I hear things, you know? Folks sayin’ them Cowboys ain’t playin’ fair and square. Like that fella, Ndamukong Suh, he’s all riled up, sayin’ they “cheated” him. Now, I don’t know the details, but when a big fella like that’s complainin’, you gotta figure somethin’ ain’t right.
Then there’s this talk about goin’ “all-in.” What’s that even mean? Sounds like gamblin’ to me. These Cowboys fans, they want the team to spend all their money, I guess, get all the good players. But that fella Stephen Jones, he’s sayin’ no way, Jose. They ain’t gonna break the bank. So, folks get mad, call ’em cheapskates, say they ain’t serious ’bout winnin’. Sounds like a whole lot of fuss over nothin’ to me.
- Loyal Fans: Now, I gotta say, these Cowboys got some mighty loyal fans. Heard tell they’re the most loyal in the whole country. More loyal than them Eagles folks or them Chiefs people. That’s somethin’, I guess. People drivin’ from all over, wearin’ them star jerseys, cheerin’ like crazy. Even when the team ain’t doin’ so hot. That’s loyalty, I tell ya.
- That Big Stadium: Them Cowboys, they got a fancy place they play in, called ATT Stadium. Been there since 2009, they say. Big ol’ thing, prob’ly costs a fortune. All them lights and screens, must be somethin’ to see. But all that fancy stuff don’t mean nothin’ if you ain’t winnin’ games, right?
And what’s this about a “stupid rule?” Heard folks complainin’ ’bout some rule in the game, sayin’ it needs changin’. Somethin’ happened in a game against them Bengals, made everyone go wild. Like I said, I don’t get the rules, but if everyone’s yellin’ about it, maybe it’s a problem. Seems like there’s always some drama with these Cowboys, on the field or off.
Then there’s the media, always makin’ a big deal out of everything. Like them Cowboys are the only team in the league. Turnin’ little things into big problems, that’s what they do. Callin’ them talented, but then complainin’ when they don’t win every game. Can’t have it both ways, I say. Just let ’em play ball and stop all the fussin’.
And this talk about gettin’ that Henry fella, some player, I reckon. Folks wanted him on the Cowboys team, wearin’ that star jersey. But that Stephen Jones fella, he shut that down quick. Said no way, ain’t happenin’. So, the fans get all worked up again, sayin’ the team ain’t tryin’ hard enough. It’s a never-endin’ story with these Cowboys, I tell ya.
So, are they cheaters? I dunno. Maybe they bend the rules a little, maybe they don’t. All I know is, folks sure do love to talk about ’em. Win or lose, good or bad, they’re always in the news. That’s what bein’ “America’s Team” is all about, I guess. Keepin’ folks talkin’ and arguin’, that’s the Cowboys way.
And that’s all I gotta say about that. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go make some biscuits.
