So, I was messing around with this game, right? Called “NieR: Automata,” yeah, that one. I wanted to see if I could spice things up a bit, make it look a little fancier. I saw some chatter online about some 4K textures for 2B and A2. Sounded pretty neat, so I thought, “Why not?” I went ahead and grabbed this texture pack that’s supposed to make all the crummy-looking stuff look way better.
I had to fiddle around with my Windows files because my computer is running Windows Vista 32-bit, which it’s like, super old. I ran into this annoying issue with a messed-up * file. It was totally getting in the way of the software I needed to use. I tried yanking it out and replacing it with a good version. It was a bit of a pain, not gonna lie.
Anyway, after I sorted that mess, I got this texture pack installed. It wasn’t too hard, honestly. It promised to redraw 2B and A2 in 4K. So, that’s the idea, I was trying to change the characters to make them look better. Seemed like it had everything I needed to start messing around with the game’s files.
I heard there’s this official epilogue to one of the endings, called “Farewell.” I haven’t watched it yet, but I saw some people talking about it online. Maybe I’ll check it out later, seems like it could be interesting. I am not sure, but I will consider it.
Then, I stumbled upon this reversed color texture for 2B’s dress. Kind of a weird idea, but I gave it a shot. It was definitely something different, I’ll give it that.
Oh, and get this: I heard some buzz that 2B and A2 are gonna be in some other game called “Stellar Blade.” It’s supposed to be this big NieR: Automata DLC thing for the PS5. I don’t have a PS5, but for those who do, it sounds like a pretty sweet deal. They are finally doing it. Apparently, people have been asking for this crossover for ages. Finally, they can see it.
