Alright, let’s yak about this A.T. Perry fella, sounds like a big deal, huh? Folks keep jabberin’ about him, so I figured I’d put in my two cents, even if I don’t know a lick about football. You know, the game with the pigskin and all them fellas runnin’ around.
So, this Perry guy, some say he’s got a “dynasty” or somethin’. Dynasty, sounds fancy, like them rich folks on TV. I reckon it means he’s good at catchin’ that ball, real good. They say he’s a “red zone target.” Red zone? Sounds dangerous! Hope he ain’t gettin’ into trouble down there. But I guess in football, that’s a good thing. He catches the ball, and his team scores, or somethin’ like that.
Now, I heard some folks tradin’ him around like he’s a prize-winning hog at the county fair. They drop him, then pick him up again, can’t seem to make up their minds. Sounds like a bunch of fussin’ to me. One fella, he dropped Perry for some other fella named Mechie, then dropped Mechie for a fella named Trey Tucker! Land sakes, these names these days! Can’t keep ’em straight. Sounds like they’re tradin’ chickens, not people!
- Folks are talkin’ ’bout him all over, so he must be somethin’ special.
- He catches the ball real good, especially in that “red zone,” whatever that is.
- People can’t decide if they want him on their team or not, tradin’ him left and right.
This here Perry fella, Atorian Perry, that’s his full name I heard tell, was born on October 26th. Don’t say what year, but he’s young, I reckon. Young folks got all the energy, runnin’ and jumpin’, makes my old bones ache just thinkin’ about it. They say he makes “impressive catches,” so he’s got good hands, I guess. Like my grandson, little Timmy, he can catch a fly with his bare hands. Maybe this Perry fella is like that, but with a football instead of a fly.
And this Lars Anderson fella, he wrote a book about some other sports family, the Mannings. Big deal, I guess. They compare this Perry guy to them Mannings, sayin’ he’s part of a “dynasty” too. Dynasties, families, seems like they’re all connected somehow. Like my family, we ain’t got no fancy dynasty, just a bunch of farmers and hard workers. But we stick together, and that’s what matters, I reckon.
This “KeepTradeCut” place, they got rankings on him, sayin’ how valuable he is. Sounds like they’re weighin’ him like a prize-winning pumpkin at the state fair. Value, rankings, all this talk about numbers. Back in my day, we didn’t need no numbers, we just knew who was good and who wasn’t. But I guess times change. They got computers and all that fancy stuff now.
So, this A.T. Perry, he’s a football player, a good one, I guess. People trade him, talk about him, write about him. He’s got a “dynasty,” whatever that means. And he’s got good hands, catches the ball real well. That’s about all I can figure out. Seems like a nice young man, hope he stays out of trouble and keeps catchin’ that ball. And maybe someone can explain that “red zone” thing to me someday.
Anyways, that’s what I got to say about this A.T. Perry fella. Not much, I know, but it’s honest. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I got to go feed the chickens.
