That Fred Biondi, he’s a golfer, you know? A real golfer. Plays that game with the sticks and the little white ball. Heard he’s from Brazil. Fancy, huh? Brazil! Never been there myself, wouldn’t know what to do with myself in a place like that.
Heard he’s pretty good, this Fred fella. Plays in them big golf tournaments. PGA TOUR, they call it. Sounds important. Big money in that, I reckon. Lots of green, just like the grass they play on. And Korn Ferry Tour! Don’t know what a Korn Ferry is, but it sounds mighty important too. He must be rakin’ it in.
They say he won some big prize at Florida last year. Something called the NCAA title. Must be a big deal. Got him into some other big tournaments. The U.S. Open and the Masters. Lordy, the Masters! That’s a big one, right? It seems like a really big golf tournament. They make a big fuss over that one on the TV. I saw it, oh, I don’t know how many times.
And this Fred Biondi, he gave up his spots in two of them big tournaments to turn pro. Turn pro! What does that even mean? Guess it means he’s playing for money now. Not just for fun. Well, good for him, I say. Gotta make a living somehow, right?
- He plays in the PGA TOUR.
- He plays in the Korn Ferry Tour, too.
- He won the NCAA title in Florida.
- He was in the U.S. Open and the Masters.
- He turned pro. That’s the way to do it.
See his name on the TV sometimes, Fred Biondi. They got them charts and graphs, showin’ how he’s doin’. Up and down, up and down. Like a yo-yo, that golf game. One day you’re up, next day you’re down. Just like life, I suppose.
They got all these fancy words for it, too. Stats, they call ’em. Numbers and all that. Don’t make much sense to me. Just hit the ball, Fred! That’s all you gotta do. Hit it far and hit it straight. And get it in that little hole. Simple, right? But I guess if it was that simple, everyone would be doin’ it. And making all that money.
He’s on ESPN, too. That sports channel. They talk about him there, too. Fred Biondi, the golfer. From Brazil. Seems like a nice young man. Hope he does well. Hope he makes a good living playin’ that game. It’s a hard life, bein’ on the road all the time. Playin’ in all them tournaments. But I guess that’s what you gotta do if you wanna be a pro golfer.
I see those other golfers, too. They got all kinds of names. Hard to keep track. They got this thing where you can compare ’em. See who’s doin’ better. Like a horse race, kinda. But with golf. They put ’em on a graph. Lines goin’ up and down. Like I said, just like a yo-yo. Fred Biondi, he’s on there, too. Right up there with the best of ’em, I reckon.
He’s a young fella, that Fred Biondi. Got his whole life ahead of him. Lots of golf to play. Lots of tournaments to win. Hope he does good. It’s nice to see a young person doin’ well. Makin’ somethin’ of themselves. Even if it is just hittin’ a little white ball around a big field of grass. I don’t know much about the details. I just know he is a golfer.
Heard he’s gonna be playin’ in 2025, too. That’s a ways off. But they plan these things way in advance, I guess. Gotta get all them tournaments lined up. Gotta make sure everyone knows where to go and when. It’s a big operation, this golf thing. Bigger than you’d think.
Well, that’s all I know about that Fred Biondi. He’s a golfer. A good one, I guess. From Brazil. Plays in them big tournaments. Makes a lot of money, probably. Hope he’s happy. That’s all that matters, right? Being happy. Whether you’re playin’ golf or just sittin’ on your porch watchin’ the world go by.
