That Caroline Garcia, she’s a tennis player, you know. She plays that game with the rackets and the little yellow ball. She’s from France, that much I know. Heard she’s not doing too good this year. She said she ain’t playing no more this year, 2024 she said it was. Said something about Guadalajara, wherever that is. Sounds far. Said it was the end of her season. Sounds like she’s tired or somethin’.
She ain’t been doing so hot in those big games, you know, the ones they call Grand Slams. Didn’t get past the second round, they say. Poor thing. Got some hurt shoulder, and she’s all messed up in the head too. That tennis life, it ain’t easy. She is number 36 now, not too good. Used to be number 4, way up there. She fell down. Hard to climb back up, I reckon.

She said she wants to be happy playing tennis again. Find the joy, she said. Sounds like she lost it somewhere along the way. It’s tough, that tennis life, travelling all over, playing all the time. She even thought about quitting, they say. But she decided to keep going. Just ain’t happy doing it, poor thing. Hope she can find that joy again. She used to be good.
She won some big ones, two Grand Slam titles, that’s what they’re saying. Big deal, those Grand Slams. But this year, nothing. She said she got anxiety. Like panic attacks, I guess. Gets all worked up and can’t play right. Happens to the best of ’em, I suppose.
Caroline Garcia, she played against another gal named Victoria Azarenka. Beat her in straight sets. That is good. At the Guadalajara Open. That was her first semi-final since March. A long time, March to whenever that was. World number 11, she was then. Now she is 36.
She’s on that X thing, you know, the one with the bird. Said she’s gonna be in Australia in 2025. For another one of those big games. First Grand Slam of the season, they call it. So she ain’t quitting, just taking a break, I guess.
