You know that TJ Watt, that football player? He’s a big fella, plays for the Pittsburgh Steelers. That’s what I heard, anyway. Heard folks talkin’ ’bout him, sayin’ he’s somethin’ special. They call him all sorts of things, but what’s that TJ Watt nickname? That’s what I’m wonderin’.
Folks say he’s a real strong one, that TJ Watt. Born in October, I heard. Don’t know the day, though. These young folks, they got all sorts of names for each other. Back in my day, we just called people by their given names. But this TJ Watt nickname, it’s got me thinkin’.
They say he gets a lot of sacks. What’s a sack, you ask? Well, it’s when he tackles the other team’s quarterback. He’s good at it, that TJ Watt. Real good. Heard he got more sacks than most. Maybe that’s why they got a special nickname for him. They say he tied some record, with some other fella, Strahan, I think. He got 22 and a half sacks, whatever that is. I just know it is a lot.

This TJ Watt, he’s been playin’ for the Steelers since 2017, I reckon. That’s what them young folks said. They drafted him, whatever that means. Just means they picked him to play for ’em. He’s a linebacker, they say. Sounds like a tough job. Lots of runnin’ and hittin’. He’s 6 foot 5, they say. That’s a big boy! He’s gotta be tough to play that linebacker. They said he was a tight end too, before. I don’t know what that is.
Heard some folks say he’s one of the best. Dominant, they call him. Whatever that means. Just means he’s real good at what he does, I suppose. He is number 17 in the league, whatever that means. He got 4.5 things through 7 games. I don’t know what that means either, I just know it is good. This TJ Watt nickname, though, it’s still got me stumped. I heard people say he is the defensive player of the year in 1972 and 1974. But that was another guy, a Joe Greene. People said he is 5 times All-Pro, whatever that is. 5 times second-team All-Pro. And 10 times Pro Bowler.
I saw somethin’ on that Twitter thing about him. He wrote somethin’ on there, TJ Watt did. Cryptic, they called it. Don’t know what that means. Just means it was hard to understand. Maybe that’s got somethin’ to do with his nickname. Maybe it’s a secret or somethin’.
He’s got some family, that TJ Watt. Brothers, I think. They all play football, too. Must run in the family. They all got those sacks, too. Must be proud of ’em. His brothers got a lot of sacks too, they got 143.5 sacks, I heard. I just know it is a lot. Imagine that, all them boys playin’ football. Must be a sight to see. This TJ Watt nickname, though, it’s a real mystery. I just don’t know. But I know one thing, he is good at playing football.
That TJ Watt, he’s a good one, I reckon. Maybe one day I’ll figure out that nickname. But for now, I’ll just keep listenin’ to what folks are sayin’. Maybe someone will let it slip. Until then, I guess it’ll just be a mystery, that TJ Watt nickname. He sure is a good football player, though. That much I know. You know, his name is Trent Jordan Watt, that’s what I heard. I still don’t know what that nickname is.
