And that ain’t even countin’ the extra $25 million he got for winnin’ somethin’ called the FedExCup. Goodness gracious, that’s enough to buy a whole lotta cows! He hits that little ball a country mile too, ’bout 300 yards they say. I reckon that’s further than old Bessie could kick a can down the road, and she was a strong one, that Bessie.
So, where’s he headed next? Well, it ain’t always easy to keep up with these young fellas and their fancy schedules. But from what I hear, they got these tournaments all over the place, just like how we used to have different harvest days for different crops.
They got this thing called the Memorial Tournament presented by Workday. Sounds fancy, don’t it? They say it’s gonna be at some place called Muirfield Village GC. I ain’t never been there, but I bet it’s got a whole lotta green grass, just like my pasture after a good rain.
Then there’s the BMW Championship. That one’s gonna be at Castle Pines Golf Club, wherever that is. And they also mentioned somethin’ about Olympia Fields Country Club up in Illinois. Sounds like Scottie’s gonna be travelin’ all over the place, like a salesman peddlin’ snake oil, but hopefully, he’s just playin’ good golf.
And get this, they even had him and some other fellas, Rory somethin’ or other, and a couple of others with names I can’t even pronounce, playin’ against some fellas from somethin’ called LIV Golf. Sounds like a bunch of hooey to me, but they had a team contest down in Las Vegas. Las Vegas, now there’s a place full of lights and excitement, probably enough to make a hen lay a square egg! They said that match was on December 17, so it’s already done gone happened. Maybe Scottie won some more of that money, Lord knows he’s got enough of it already.

They say she’s an event manager and runs some kinda program for young folks in Dallas, helpin’ them with sports and learnin’ and such. Sounds like she’s got her head screwed on straight, just like my grandma used to say, “A good woman is worth more than a whole field of corn.”
