Alright, let’s gab a bit about these football fellas, Trey McBride and Dalton Schultz. Folks keep yakkin’ about who’s better, especially for that fantasy football thing. Don’t know much about that fancy stuff, but I can tell ya who’s been catchin’ the ball more, that’s for sure.
Now, this McBride fella, he’s been somethin’ else this year, 2024 they say. Hear tell he’s catchin’ balls left and right, like a chicken peckin’ corn. They say he’s got somethin’ like 80 catches and 851 yards. That’s a whole lotta yards, I reckon. Even without them touchdowns, he’s doin’ good. Seems like he’s been a real “fantasy beast” they call it. Whatever that means.
Then there’s this Schultz fella. He’s been around a bit longer, I think. He had himself a good game recent-like, 61 yards they said. But he ain’t been as steady as McBride, seems like. Folks are always tryin’ to figure out which one to pick for their games. They check the news, make sure they ain’t hurt or somethin’. They got these “projections” too, fancy numbers tellin’ ’em who might do better.
I heard somebody say Schultz had a good year back in 2023 too. Said he caught somethin’ like 81 balls for 825 yards and three touchdowns. That’s not too shabby, not at all. But this year, it’s McBride’s time to shine, seems like. He’s been gettin’ all them catches, even without the touchdowns. Maybe Schultz will catch up, who knows? Football’s a funny game.
- McBride’s got lots of catches, no touchdowns though.
- Schultz had a good game lately, but not as consistent.
- People use “projections” to pick who to play.
- Both guys had good years in the past.
Now, these fellas that write about football, they look at all sorts of numbers. They call ’em “stats.” They say these stats help you decide who to put in your lineup. I guess that’s important for that fantasy thing. They talk about “player usage” too. Means how much they get to play, I reckon. More play, more chances to catch the ball, right?
So, who’s better? Well, from what I hear, McBride’s the man this year. He’s catchin’ all them balls, makin’ them fantasy folks happy. But Schultz ain’t no slouch neither. He’s had his moments, and he could have more. It’s like pickin’ between two good watermelons, sometimes you just gotta go with your gut. Or maybe flip a coin, that works too.
But remember, football’s a team game. It ain’t just about one fella. These fellas gotta have someone throwin’ them the ball, and they gotta have other fellas blockin’. It’s a whole thing, a whole mess of people workin’ together. So, even if McBride’s catchin’ all them balls, he needs his team too.
And things can change fast in football. One week a fella’s a star, the next week he’s sittin’ on the bench. Injuries happen, other teams figure you out, all sorts of things. So, you gotta keep an eye on things, see who’s playin’ well, who’s healthy. That’s what them fantasy folks do, I guess. Spend all their time lookin’ at numbers and tryin’ to guess what’s gonna happen.
Me? I just like watchin’ the fellas run around, catchin’ the ball, and knockin’ each other down. It’s good entertainment, even if I don’t understand all them fancy stats. And whether it’s McBride or Schultz, I hope they both do well. It’s always nice to see a fella succeed, work hard and make somethin’ of himself. That’s what matters, I reckon, more than any of them fantasy games.
So, there you have it. My two cents on these football players. Take it or leave it, I ain’t no expert, just an old woman who likes watchin’ a good game now and then.
