Alright, so y’all wanna hear about this Booker T and Dave Bautista thing, huh? Let me tell ya, it was a real barn burner back in the day. Don’t rightly remember the exact year, but it was a while back, when them fellas were wrasslin’ for that WWE thing.
Big Dave Bautista, that fella, he was huge, like a real mountain of a man. They say he was a wrassler before, and then he went on to be a big movie star. Heard he lost a whole bunch of weight, too, like eighty pounds or somethin’. Good for him, I guess, but back then, he was a big ‘un. And tough, real tough.
Now, Booker T, he wasn’t as big, but he was tough as nails too. A real fighter, that one. He’d been around the block a few times, knew his way around the ring, and wasn’t afraid of nothin’ or nobody.
See, what happened was, Big Dave, he got a little too big for his britches. Started thinkin’ he was better than everyone else. Rufflin’ feathers, they called it. Bein’ all arrogant and such. Well, that didn’t sit right with Booker T, not one bit.
- Booker T was a respected fella.
- Dave Bautista was kinda new and gettin’ cocky.
- Things got heated backstage.
Booker T, he wasn’t gonna let nobody disrespect the business, you know? So, they say these two got into it. A real fight, not just the pretend stuff they do in the ring. Backstage, where nobody could see, except maybe a few folks who were too scared to say nothin’.
Now, I heard different stories about how it went down. Some folks say it was a quick scuffle, others say it was a real knock-down, drag-out brawl. But the way I heard it, Booker T came out on top. Yeah, he showed that big Dave Bautista a thing or two about respect.
They say Dave learned his lesson that day. Started treatin’ folks better, not bein’ so high and mighty. And Booker T, well, he just kept on doin’ his thing, bein’ a tough, respected wrassler.
It ain’t right to go around thinkin’ you’re better than everyone else. That’s what I always say. Everybody’s gotta earn their keep, and treat folks with respect. Even if you’re big and strong like Dave Bautista, there’s always someone tougher, someone who ain’t afraid to stand up to you.
This whole thing happened on that Smackdown show, they tell me. Back in 2006, or thereabouts. Folks still talk about it, you know. The time Booker T put Dave Bautista in his place. It’s a legend, kinda like them old stories my grandpappy used to tell.
That Bruce Prichard fella, he talked about it too. Said it was the only time Dave ever had an attitude problem. Guess that fight straightened him out, huh? Shows ya, nobody’s too big to be taught a lesson. And Booker T was just the fella to do it.
So, that’s the story, as best as I can remember it. Two tough wrasslers, a backstage fight, and a lesson learned. Booker T and Dave Bautista. A real fightin’ story, that is. And it all happened ‘cause one fella got too cocky and the other one wasn’t havin’ none of it.
It just goes to show ya, don’t matter how big you are, or how famous you become, treatin’ folks right is what matters most. And if you don’t, well, there’s always someone like Booker T around to set you straight. That’s the way it is, and that’s the way it always should be.
Remember, being strong ain’t just about muscles, it’s about character too. And that’s somethin’ Booker T had plenty of. He wasn’t just a wrassler, he was a good man, a man who stood up for what he believed in. And that, my friends, is worth more than any championship belt or movie role.
