Alright, let’s talk about them NFL tie dye hats, you know, the ones all them young folks are wearin’ these days. I seen ’em at the store the other day, all colorful and swirly, looks like someone spilled paint all over ’em, but hey, that’s the style, I guess.
First off, where do you even get these things? Seems like everybody’s sellin’ ’em. You got your big stores like that DICK’S Sporting Goods place, they got a whole wall of ’em, all lined up like soldiers. Then you got online places, like that Fanatics, they got every team you can think of. Even that Amazon place, they got ’em too, cheaper sometimes, but you never know what you’re gonna get, might fall apart after you wash it once.
Now, what teams you can get? Well, seems like every team got a tie dye hat now. You want a Buffalo Bills tie dye hat? They got it. A New Orleans Saints tie dye hat? Yep, they got that too. Even them Mickey Mouse hats got the tie dye look now, though I don’t rightly know what Mickey Mouse got to do with football. Kids these days, they like what they like, I guess.
What kind of tie dye hats are there? Well, you got your regular baseball caps, you know, the ones with the brim to keep the sun outta your eyes. Then you got them bucket hats, looks like something you’d wear fishin’, but hey, they’re popular now. Some are even reversible, so you get two hats in one, kinda like gettin’ a two-for-one deal at the grocery store. And they come in all sorts of colors, some got just a little bit of tie dye, some got the whole thing covered.
Speaking of colors, Lord have mercy, there’s a rainbow of ’em! You got your blues and greens, your reds and yellows, even some with purples and oranges, looks like a fruit salad exploded. And they ain’t just plain colors neither, they got swirls and stripes and all sorts of patterns, makes my head spin just lookin’ at ’em.
- Baseball Caps: Your everyday hat, keeps the sun off your face.
- Bucket Hats: Good for sun protection, kinda floppy, like a fishin’ hat.
- Reversible Hats: Two hats in one, different designs on each side.
Why are they so popular anyway? Well, I heard tell it’s somethin’ to do with supportin’ a cause, somethin’ about cancer. Seems like the football players started wearin’ ’em to raise awareness or somethin’. That’s a good thing, I reckon, cancer’s a nasty business, took my sister, it did. So, if wearin’ a tie dye hat helps fight that, I’m all for it.
And who’s wearin’ these hats? Well, everybody, it seems! Young folks, old folks, men, women, even the little bitty kids got ’em. You see ’em at the football games, at the grocery store, even at church, though I don’t know if the preacher approves of that. It’s a fashion statement, I guess, like them ripped jeans they wear, makes no sense to me, but what do I know? I’m just an old woman.
But how much do these things cost? Well, that depends on where you get ’em and what kind you get. Some are cheap, you know, ten or twelve dollars, those are probably the ones that fall apart after a wash or two. Others are more expensive, twenty or thirty dollars, maybe even more if you get a fancy one with the team logo and all that. You get what you pay for, I always say. If you want a good hat, you gotta be willin’ to spend a little extra.
So, are these NFL tie dye hats worth the fuss? Well, I don’t know. If you like ’em, wear ’em. If you don’t, don’t. It ain’t gonna hurt nobody. But if it helps raise money for cancer, then I reckon it’s a good thing. And hey, they are kinda colorful and cheerful, maybe that’s what the world needs a little more of these days.
New Era makes some too, I heard. They’re supposed to be good quality, but they cost a pretty penny. And you can even get headbands with the tie dye, if you don’t want a whole hat. Some are even for unisex, so men and women both can wear them. It’s a whole big business, this tie dye thing, who woulda thunk it?
So, there you have it, my two cents on them NFL tie dye hats. They’re colorful, they’re popular, and they might even be doin’ some good in the world. Can’t argue with that, can you? Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go make some dinner, got a hankerin’ for some fried chicken.
