Alright, let’s talk about this here… uh… “Chained Together” thing. I heard folks yappin’ about it. Sounds like some kinda game, you know? Like them things the youngsters are always fiddlin’ with.
What is this “Chained Together” game anyway?
Well, from what I gather, it’s one of them games where you gotta, like, work together. Or maybe you can do it all by yourself, if you’re one of them stubborn types. They say you can run around and try to escape, fast as you can. And then they got these fancy boards, leaderboards they call ‘em, where they put down how fast everyone is. Shows who’s the quickest, I guess. Sounds like a whole lotta huffin’ and puffin’ to me.
- You can play it by yourself, like a lone wolf.
- Or, you can get a bunch of your buddies together, up to four of ya, and play as a team.
- They even keep track of how fast you are, and put it up on a big list for everyone to see.
Now, here’s where it gets confusing, even for an old gal like me. They keep changin’ their minds about where you can play this here game.
Where can you play this “Chained Together” thing?
I heard tell it was only on somethin’ called “Steam” and that’s on them “PC” things. You know, them fancy typewriters the city folks use. Not on them PlayStation or Xbox thingamajigs, or whatever the kids call ’em these days. And definitely not on them little phone games, no sir. Just on that Steam thingy for a while.
But then, I heard some other folks sayin’ somethin’ different. They was talkin’ ‘bout playin’ with their friends on different contraptions, you know, like the PlayStation and that Xbox thing. Said they could all play together, even though they had different gizmos. That’s what they call “cross-platform,” I think. Or maybe it’s “crossplay.” All these fancy words, I tell ya!
Is it “cross-platform” or not? That’s the real question, ain’t it?
So, is it or isn’t it? Well, that’s the million-dollar question, ain’t it? Seems like nobody can quite agree. One minute they say it’s only on PC, the next minute they’re talkin’ about playin’ with their friends on different thingamajigs. Makes my head spin, it does. Maybe those city folks are just makin’ things up to confuse us country folk.
Here’s what I reckon, after listenin’ to all that yappin’.
Seems to me, at first, this here “Chained Together” game was just for them PC folks. Only place you could get it was on that Steam thing. But maybe, just maybe, them game makers are thinkin’ about lettin’ everyone join in the fun. Maybe they’re gonna put it on them PlayStations and Xboxes too, and let everyone play together, no matter what kinda contraption they got. That would be mighty neighborly of ‘em, wouldn’t it?
But as of right now, seems like you gotta stick to that PC and that Steam thing if you wanna play. Don’t go runnin’ out to buy one of them PlayStations just yet, unless you wanna waste your hard-earned money.
Anyway, that’s the gist of it, as far as I can tell. This “Chained Together” game is about escapin’ and doin’ it fast. You can play alone or with your friends. And where you can play it? Well, that’s still a bit of a mystery, ain’t it? Maybe them city folks will make up their minds one of these days.
One more thing though. I heard somethin’ about some kinda cloud playin’. Like, you don’t even gotta have the game on your own machine, you can play it somewhere else. Up in the sky, maybe? I don’t rightly know how that works. Sounds like witchcraft to me. But them youngsters, they seem to understand it. They’re always fiddlin’ with them clouds and internets and such. Too complicated for an old gal like me, that’s for sure. I’ll just stick to watchin’ the real clouds, thank you very much.
So there you have it. Everything I know about this here “Chained Together.” Hope it makes some kinda sense to ya. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go feed them chickens.
