Alright, let’s talk about this fella, Ron Harper Jr., eh? Don’t know much about him fancy basketball stuff, but I heard folks talkin’. Seems like he’s been around a bit, playin’ this game.
So, who is this Ron Harper Jr. fella, anyway?
Well, from what I gather, he’s a basketball player, plays for them Celtics now, I think. Boston Celtics, that’s right. Before that, he was with the Raptors, the ones from Toronto, up in Canada. He ain’t been in the big leagues, the NBA, for too long, see. They say he signed somethin’ called a “two-way contract.” Means he plays a bit in the NBA, and a bit in some other league, the G League, they call it. Like a minor league, I reckon. He played for the Maine Celtics, that’s part of the G League.
- He plays Guard for the Celtics.
- He played Forward for the Raptors before.
- He also played for the Raptors 905, that’s their G League team.
This young fella, he didn’t get picked in somethin’ called the “draft.” Sounds like a big deal, all them young players hopin’ to get picked. But he didn’t get picked. Still got to play though, signed that contract like I said. Good for him, I say. Shows he’s got some grit.
Now, they got all these numbers, stats they call ’em. Points and rebounds and such. I don’t understand all that mess, but they say it tells you how good a player is. You can find all that online, they tell me. ESPN, whatever that is, seems to have all his information.
He’s got a history, this boy. Seems like he played in training camp, and some summer league too. They say he showed off his skills there. Then he got hurt, somethin’ with his shoulder. Shoulder injury, they called it. That ain’t good, no sir. Kept him out for a whole season, poor thing.
But he’s back now, playin’ for the Celtics. I hear he’s tryin’ to make a name for himself. Good for him. Work hard, play hard, that’s what I always say. Even if you get knocked down, you gotta get back up.
And you know what? This Ron Harper Jr., he’s got a famous daddy, or so they say. Ron Harper Sr., they call him. This older fella, he was a real good player, won championships and all. Five of ‘em! Played with the Chicago Bulls and the Lakers. Big teams, those are. Imagine that, your own daddy bein’ a champion. That’s a lot to live up to.
This Ron Harper Sr. fellow, he played for a long time, 15 years they say. From 1987 to 2001. That’s a lot of basketball. He was known for bein’ versatile, whatever that means. Guess he could do a lot of things on the court. Probably where young Ron Jr. gets it from.
So, there you have it. A little bit about this Ron Harper Jr. He’s young, he’s playin’ hard, and he’s got a big name to live up to. Hope he does well, this young fella. It ain’t easy makin’ it in this world, no matter what you do.
I don’t know much about basketball, but I know a thing or two about hard work. And from what I hear, this Ron Harper Jr. ain’t afraid of a little hard work. That’s a good thing, a real good thing. So, let’s see what he does with this opportunity he’s got, eh? Wish him all the best, I do.
Remember you can find all about his points and rebounds online and even his weight and height if that matters to ya. They keep track of everything these days, it’s a wonder! I’m sure ESPN got the whole story, just look up “Ron Harper Jr.” and you will see all about him.
