Well, let me tell ya about this Danny Willett fella and the sticks he uses to smack that little white ball around. I ain’t no expert, mind you, but I heard some things and seen some pictures, so I’ll tell ya what I know.
First off, this Danny, he’s a golfer, a real good one they say. Plays on that PGA Tour, whatever that is. Been swingin’ clubs since 2008, so he’s been at it a while. Now, them clubs, that’s what we’re here to talk about, ain’t it? It’s what they call a “witb”, “what’s in the bag,” I reckon.
Danny Willett’s Driver
Alright, so the big stick, the one they use to whack the ball a country mile, Danny uses a Callaway XR 10 Driver. Heard it’s got a 10-degree loft, makes the ball go up high, I guess. Good for getting it way out there. I don’t know nothin’ about lofts and such, but if it works for him, it works.
Danny Willett’s Irons
Now, them irons, that’s where it gets a bit complicated. Seems like Danny likes them Callaway X Forged UT irons. Got two of ’em, one with 18 degrees and another with 24 degrees, whatever that means. Sounds like he’s got different ones for different shots, makes sense I suppose. Irons are for hittin’ the ball when it’s not so far away, right? Get it closer to that little hole.
- Callaway X Forged UT Irons (18 degrees and 24 degrees) These seem important, he uses them a lot.
I also heard tell of him using some other irons, but darned if I can remember what they were called. Too many numbers and letters for this old brain. It’s all the same to me, just gotta hit the ball straight, that’s what I say.
Danny Willett and Steel Fiber Shafts
Now, here’s somethin’ interesting. Seems like Danny uses these steel fiber shafts in his clubs. Folks were surprised by that, said not many fellas use ’em. Don’t ask me why, I ain’t got a clue. Maybe they feel different, maybe they make the ball go further, who knows? All I know is Danny likes ’em, and that’s good enough for me.
Other Equipment and Brands
Oh, and there’s all sorts of other stuff in that bag, putters and wedges and such. But honestly, it’s all Greek to me. I heard tell of TaylorMade clubs too, some fancy name like “Qi10”. They got drivers and fairways and rescue clubs, whatever them are. Sounds like a whole lot of fuss over hittin’ a little ball, if you ask me.
Danny Willett’s Comeback
And you know what else? This Danny fella, he got to play more golf ’cause some other fellas went off to play in some other league, somethin’ called LIV Golf. Left some spots open, so Danny got back in. Good for him, I say. More chances to swing them clubs and make some money.
Conclusion
So, there you have it. That’s about all I know about Danny Willett and his “witb”. He’s got a Callaway driver, some Callaway irons, and some steel fiber shafts. And a whole bunch of other stuff that I can’t make heads nor tails of. But the important thing is, he knows how to use ’em. He’s a good golfer, that Danny Willett. He hits that ball real far, and that’s all that matters in the end, ain’t it?
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go make some supper. All this talk about golf clubs makes me hungry. Maybe I’ll watch some golf on the TV later, see if I can spot Danny and his fancy sticks.
