Alright, let’s talk about this fella, Jamie Taylor and that Lamar Jackson fella, you know, the football player. I heard some folks jabbering ‘bout ‘em, so I figured I’d chime in, you know, give my two cents.
First off, this Lamar Jackson, he’s somethin’ else, ain’t he? They say he’s the MVP, the Most Valuable Player. That means he’s real good, real important to his team, the Baltimore Ravens. He’s like the rooster in the henhouse, you know? The one that makes sure everything runs smooth, gets everyone goin’. He runs and he throws, and he does it all real good.
Now, I don’t know much about football, but I know when a fella’s good at what he does. This Lamar, he’s like that old mule we had on the farm. Strong, dependable, and gets the job done, no matter how hard it is. He keeps gettin’ them Ravens outta trouble, savin’ the day when things lookin’ bleak. Folks say he can make somethin’ outta nothin’, and that’s a mighty fine skill to have, whether you’re throwin’ a football or plantin’ corn.
- He runs like the wind
- Throws the ball a country mile
- Wins a lot of games, that’s what I hear
They say he won the MVP award not once, but twice! That’s somethin’, ain’t it? Beatin’ out all them other fellas, Josh Allen and what’s his name, Dak Prescott. It ain’t easy bein’ the best, that’s for sure. You gotta work hard, gotta be tough, gotta have that somethin’ special, that fire in your belly. Sounds like this Lamar, he’s got plenty of that fire.
And this Jamie Taylor? I reckon he’s important too, though I ain’t quite sure what he does. Maybe he’s Lamar’s coach, or his buddy, or somethin’. Maybe he’s the fella who makes sure Lamar gets his grits in the mornin’, keeps him strong and ready to play. Whoever he is, he’s part of this whole Lamar Jackson story, see? ‘Cause no one does it all alone, not even a rooster or a strong mule like Lamar.
I heard tell that Lamar was born down in Florida, Pompano Beach they call it. Warm down there, all year round. Maybe that’s where he gets all that energy from, that sunshine in his bones. He’s young fella too, born in ’97. Got his whole life ahead of him. Folks already callin’ him one of the best ever, talkin’ bout how he can run and throw like nobody’s business. A dual-threat, they call it. Sounds fancy, huh?
But even the best players, they lose sometimes. I heard this New York Giants team, they figured out how to stop Lamar a couple years back. Their coach, this Don Martindale fella, he had a plan. See, even the strongest rooster can be caught if you know how to sneak up on him. That’s just the way life is, ain’t it? Ups and downs, wins and losses.
But this year, 2023, and even in the middle of 2024 season, Lamar, he was the king of the hill. He led his team, he played his heart out, and he won that MVP award. And that’s somethin’ to be proud of, no matter who you are or where you come from. It just goes to show ya, hard work and a little bit of that somethin’ special can take you a long way.
So that’s what I got to say ‘bout Jamie Taylor and Lamar Jackson. One’s a football star, the other… well, he’s part of the story, ain’t he? And that’s all that matters. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go feed my chickens. They’re gettin’ restless, just like them football fans when Lamar’s got the ball.
