Alright, let’s talk about this Jordan Thompson girl, the volleyball star. I heard folks sayin’ she’s a real big deal, like, real big. They keep jabberin’ about her on that there TV thingy, always flashin’ her picture.
Now, I ain’t no expert on that volleyball stuff, you know? Never played it myself, too busy workin’ the fields back in the day. But even I can see this Jordan girl is somethin’ special. She’s strong, like a bull, that one. Hits that ball so hard it’s like a cannon goin’ off. Boom! And the other team just stands there, lookin’ all confused, like a buncha chickens with their heads cut off.
They say she’s from America, that big country across the water. And she plays for some fancy team over in Italy too. Italy, can you believe it? That’s where they make all that spaghetti and stuff. Guess they like their volleyball over there too.
Folks are sayin’ Jordan is the new weapon for the USA team. A weapon, that’s what they call her. Sounds kinda scary, don’t it? Like she’s gonna go out there and beat everyone up with the ball. But that’s just their way of sayin’ she’s really good. She helps her team win, that’s what matters.
- She’s real tall, that girl. Like a beanpole, but strong, not all flimsy.
- And she jumps high, real high. Like she got springs in her shoes or somethin’.
- They say she helped the USA team win a gold medal at the Olympics. The Olympics! That’s like the biggest sports thingy in the whole world.
I saw a picture of her once, in a magazine my granddaughter left layin’ around. She looked real serious, you know? Like she’s thinkin’ hard about how to hit that ball just right. And she got a lot of followers on that internet thing, the one where everyone posts pictures and talks to each other. Folks sure do love her.
Jordan Thompson, they keep sayin’ her name over and over. It’s stuck in my head now, like a catchy tune. Seems like she’s been playin’ since she was a young’un. Went to college somewhere, Cincinnati, I think they said. Played volleyball there too, of course. Then she went on to play for the big teams, the fancy ones.
Now, some say she got hurt once, somethin’ with her ankle. That’s what happens when you jump around and hit things all the time, I guess. But she didn’t let that stop her. She went back to America, got herself fixed up, and got right back to playin’. That’s the kinda spirit I like to see. Tough as nails, that girl is.
She’s playin’ in the Olympics again this year, 2024. Folks are real excited about it. They think she’s gonna help the USA team win another gold medal. I don’t know about all that, but I’ll be watchin’, that’s for sure. Not that I understand all the rules and whatnot, but it’s fun to see someone so good at what they do.
So, yeah, that Jordan Thompson, she’s somethin’ alright. A real volleyball star. And even though I’m just an old lady who don’t know much about sports, I can appreciate a good player when I see one. She works hard, plays hard, and makes her country proud. That’s all you can ask for, ain’t it?
She was born in May, May the 5th, to be exact. Folks keep track of these things, birthdays and such. I can barely remember my own sometimes! But it’s good to know, I guess. Makes her seem more real, not just some picture on the TV.
Anyways, that’s all I gotta say about Jordan Thompson. She’s a good egg, that one. A strong, talented volleyball player who makes her country proud. And that’s somethin’ to be admired, no matter how you look at it.
