Alright, let’s talk about this Lexi Thompson girl and her brothers. I heard she’s a golfer, a pretty good one at that. Folks say she’s got two brothers, both playin’ golf too. Nicholas and Curtis, their names are. Imagine that, a whole family swingin’ sticks and chasin’ little white balls! Must’ve been noisy around their house, all that clackin’ and thumpin’.
Now, this Lexi, she was born in Florida, way back in 1995. February 10th, to be exact. Started young, this girl did. Been competin’ since she was just a little tyke. Folks say she was always competitive, even as a kid. Guess that’s what made her so good. I hear she even got some words inked on her arm. “Faith,” it says. Not many golfers do that, get tattoos, I mean. But Lexi, she’s her own person, that’s for sure.

Heard tell she’s done with full-time playin’ now. Retirin’, they call it. Said it herself, at some big women’s golf thing. U.S. Open, I think it was. Six months later, it hit her hard, all them emotions. Can’t blame her, I guess. It’s a big change, givin’ up somethin’ you been doin’ your whole life. I hear she held a lot in, didn’t want to show folks how she was feelin’. But it got to her in the end. Happens to the best of us.
Growin’ up with those brothers, that probably made her tough. Two older boys, always roughhousin’ and teasin’, I bet. She said it herself, made her more mature. Helped her make big decisions, even when she was young. Must be true. You learn a lot when you got brothers, especially older ones. They push you, make you stronger. Always tryin’ to one-up each other, that’s how brothers are.
Professional golfers, all three of them. That’s somethin’, ain’t it? Must’ve been fun, though, all that golfin’ together. Hope they didn’t fight too much about who was better. Families can get that way, you know. Competitive. Especially when you’re all doin’ the same thing. But I reckon they supported each other too. That’s what families do, or least they should. Stick together, help each other out.
And now Lexi’s sayin’ goodbye to the full-time golfin’ life. Her brother Curtis, he got all emotional about it too. After some big championship, I heard. Guess it’s a big deal for them all. End of an era, like they say. But she’ll still be around, I reckon. Maybe do some golfin’ here and there. Can’t just give it up completely, can you? Not when it’s been your whole life. It gets in your blood, like farm work. Once a farmer, always a farmer, they say. Maybe it’s the same with golf.
Anyway, that’s the story, as far as I can tell. Lexi Thompson, the golfer, and her two brothers. A family of golfers. Pretty impressive, if you ask me. And now she’s movin’ on to somethin’ new. Wish her all the best, I do. Hope she finds somethin’ she loves just as much as golf. And maybe spends some time with her brothers, too. Family’s important, you know. More important than golf, even.
