Alright, alright, let’s talk about them… uh… kokomi pearls, or whatever them fancy folks call ’em. Sango Pearls, yeah, that’s it. I heard you youngsters need ’em for that Kokomi girl, the one with the fish tail, and that Gorou fella, the dog-eared boy. They’re pretty things, them pearls, like little shiny rocks, but lemme tell ya, finding ’em ain’t no walk in the park. You gotta get your hands dirty, just like diggin’ for taters back in the day.
Now, most of these shiny rocks are on that Watatsumi Island, you know, the one with all the coral. It’s like a underwater garden, pretty, but you gotta watch your step. Them pearls, they like to hide under them coral reefs, sneaky little things. So, you gotta swim around, poke your head in every nook and cranny, just like lookin’ for eggs in the henhouse. Sometimes you see ’em right away, shinin’ at ya, other times, you gotta really dig around, like a pig looking for truffles.
I heard some folks say there’s, like, 54 of ’em… or maybe even 68? Lordy, that’s a lot of rocks! But don’t you worry your pretty little heads, I’ll tell ya where to look. Just like I told my grandbabies where the best mushrooms grow, I’ll tell you where to find these pearls.
- First off, you gotta go to Watatsumi Island. That’s where most of ’em are hiding.
- Then, start pokin’ around the Sangonomiya Shrine area. Lots of pearls there, trust me.
- And don’t forget to look under them coral reefs. That’s where the sneakiest ones hide.
- Keep your eyes peeled, ’cause sometimes they’re just sittin’ there in plain sight, and sometimes they’re tucked away real good.
Now, some city folks told me you can buy these pearls too. Imagine that! Buying rocks! They say there’s two shops, one in Ritou and another in that Port Ormos place. Sounds fancy, huh? But if you got the coin, I guess it’s easier than swimmin’ around all day. But me? I’d rather find ’em myself, save a few pennies. You know, money don’t grow on trees, even them shiny trees in the city.
So, you wanna get all them pearls fast, huh? Well, you gotta be smart about it. Plan your route, like you’re plannin’ a trip to the market. Start in one spot, grab all the pearls you can find, then move on to the next. Don’t waste time swimmin’ back and forth, that’s just silly. And don’t forget to bring some snacks! Searchin’ for pearls is hard work, and you don’t wanna get all weak and dizzy in the water. A full belly makes for a happy pearl hunter.
Some young whippersnapper showed me a picture once, a map they called it. It had all them pearl spots marked, like little X’s on a treasure map. Maybe you can find one of them things, it might help ya. But even with a map, you still gotta keep your eyes open. Them pearls ain’t gonna jump into your basket, you gotta work for ’em.
And don’t get discouraged if you don’t find ’em all right away. Sometimes they’re tricky, sometimes they’re just not there. Just keep lookin’, keep swimmin’, and you’ll get ‘em eventually. Just like findin’ the perfect pumpkin in the patch, it takes time and patience. But when you finally got all them pearls, oh boy, it’ll feel like you struck gold!
So, there you have it. My two cents on finding them kokomi pearls, or Sango Pearls, or whatever you wanna call ‘em. Go out there, get your feet wet, and have fun! And remember, if an old lady like me can tell ya how to do it, then you youngsters sure as sugar can do it too. Now go on, git! Them pearls ain’t gonna find themselves!
Just remember to be respectful of the land and the water, and don’t go making a mess. We gotta take care of this world, just like we take care of our gardens and our homes. Happy pearl hunting, y’all!
