Why Demon Souls Remake PC is Still Not Happening: Sonys Stance

Alright, so y’all wanna know about this Demon Souls Remake PC thing, huh? Let me tell ya, it’s a whole lotta fuss for a game, but folks seem to really like it. I heard them young’uns talkin’ ’bout it down at the store. Said it’s real pretty and tough as nails.

Now, from what I gather, this game, this Demon Souls thing, it ain’t on the computer yet. It’s on somethin’ called a “PS5.” Sounds fancy, like somethin’ them city folk would have. But these computer folks, they want it bad. Real bad. They’re sayin’, “When’s it comin’ to PC? When we gonna get our turn?” I seen some of ’em online, fussin’ and arguin’. Some say it’s gonna happen, some say it ain’t.

Seems like there was some kinda leak, somethin’ about a “Nvidia GeForce Now.” Don’t ask me what that is, sounds like somethin’ outta a science fiction movie. But these fellas think it means the game might be comin’ to computers after all. They’re hopin’ and prayin’, I guess.

And then there’s talk about changin’ the game, “moddin’” they call it. Like takin’ a perfectly good quilt and addin’ all sorts of fancy stitches and patches. Some folks like that, some don’t. Me, I say if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. But them young’uns, they always gotta be tinkerin’ with things.

Some folks say the game is real good, “masterfully enhanced” they call it. Means it’s pretty, I reckon.
Others, they got their complaints. Always somethin’ to complain about these days, ain’t there?

But the big company, Sony, they’re the ones holdin’ the cards. And they’re sayin’ “no.” At least for now. They sayin’ it ain’t comin’ to the computer. But folks don’t believe ’em. They say Sony’s just playin’ hard to get, that they’ll give in eventually. Say it’s too much money to leave on the table, like a ripe watermelon just sittin’ in the field.

Now, I heard tell there’s a way to play it on the computer already, somethin’ called an “emulator.” Sounds complicated. Like tryin’ to milk a cow with a spoon. But these computer whizzes, they figured it out. They can play the old version of the game, the one from the “PS3,” whatever that is. They say it works pretty good, even makes it look better. But it ain’t the same, they say. They want that new, shiny version.

And here’s another thing, this Demon Souls game, it ain’t like them other “Dark Souls” games. It’s its own thing, see? And Sony, they own it lock, stock, and barrel. They ain’t gonna let nobody else mess with it. That’s why you ain’t seen it on them “Xbox” things or the computer. They keepin’ it close to the vest, like a secret recipe.

So, what’s the bottom line? Well, nobody knows for sure. It might come to PC, it might not. It’s all a bunch of guessin’ and wishin’ right now. But them computer folks, they ain’t givin’ up. They’ll keep pesterin’ Sony until they get what they want. You can bet on that. Just like them young’uns pesterin’ me for cookies ’til I give in. It’s just the way things are, I guess.

But I tell ya, for all this fuss, it better be one heck of a game. Otherwise, it’s just a whole lotta nothin’, like a rooster crowin’ at midnight. But if those young’uns say it’s good, well, maybe it is. They seem to know their stuff, these computer folks, even if they do talk a whole lotta gibberish sometimes.

So that’s the story, as best as I can tell it. Ain’t no easy answers, just a whole lotta waitin’ and seein’. But that’s life, ain’t it? Always waitin’ for somethin’.
