Well now, let me tell you ‘bout this feller, Anthony Rizzo. He’s a big shot baseball player, y’know, plays for them Chicago Cubs. He had himself a big ol’ house down there in Florida, over in Parkland, to be exact. I reckon he made quite a bit of money in his day, ’cause that house was no small thing. I’ve heard tell it was some 8,000 square feet, big enough for a whole mess of folks to live in and still have plenty of space to spare. Had six bedrooms in it, too! You could put a whole family in each one, and still not be on top of each other. And the bathrooms, don’t get me started on them—there were six of ‘em too! I don’t know what you’d do with all them bathrooms, but if you had a house that big, I reckon you’d need ‘em.
Now, let me tell ya, this house wasn’t just about sleepin’ and eatin’, oh no. There was all kinds of fancy stuff in there! First off, there was a movie theater. Yep, a whole room where you could sit and watch them flickers, just like you was at the picture show. I hear tell that the seats were real comfy, and you could watch movies in style. And if movies ain’t your thing, well, you could always work off your dinner in the gym. They had themselves a full gym in there, all the equipment you’d need to keep in shape—’cept I doubt ol’ Anthony ever had trouble with that, bein’ a big ballplayer and all.
But wait, there’s more! I hear tell this house had itself a wine room. Now, I ain’t never had no fancy wine, but I reckon that’s somethin’ real nice to have if you got a house that big. And don’t forget the sauna and the steam room—those sound like they’d do you some good after a long day of playin’ ball. Relax and sweat out all the troubles of the day, I suppose. But the real fun, I reckon, was in the games room. It had a pool table, y’know? Now, I don’t know much ‘bout pool, but I imagine it was a mighty fine place to relax and have a game or two with friends.
But in 2018, I heard ol’ Anthony decided to sell the place. He put it up for sale for a whopping $2.395 million! That’s a whole lotta money, ain’t it? I reckon he got tired of Florida, though, ‘cause he sold it not long after that, and I hear he made a good bit of change off of it. The final price, I think, was $2 million. That’s still a mighty big chunk of change, don’t ya think?
Now, I ain’t sure why he sold the place, but I hear he’s been livin’ down in Fort Lauderdale, which is another place in Florida. It’s real busy down there, real fancy-like. Lots of shopping, restaurants, and them big ol’ boats they got in them canals. Seems like a place where you could live a real nice life, I’d say. And, I reckon that’s the kind of life ol’ Anthony’s livin’ now. Who knows? Maybe he’s sittin’ in some other big fancy house, but I bet it don’t have the movie theater and sauna like his old one did!
All in all, Anthony Rizzo sure lived the high life in Florida for a while. That mansion of his was something to see, and I bet whoever bought it is mighty happy with all that space. I guess not every day you get to own a place like that, with a pool table, wine room, and a whole lotta other fancy things. But I reckon Rizzo’s movin’ on to new things now, what with that new team he’s playin’ for and all. Must be somethin’ real exciting goin’ on in his life these days. I just hope he finds a place that makes him happy, wherever it may be!
