Alright, let me tell you about my trip out to the Baseball Heaven tournaments back in 2023. I’d been hearing about this place for a while, you know, this big complex just for baseball, mostly youth stuff. Decided last year was the time to finally see it myself.

Getting Myself There
First thing, I checked out their schedule. Found a weekend in the summer of ’23 that looked packed with tournaments. Didn’t want to go when it was dead, right? Wanted the full experience. Didn’t need flights or anything, it’s driving distance for me. So, I just made sure the car was good to go, gassed it up.
Didn’t book anything fancy for staying over. Just found a regular motel a few miles away from the complex. Booked it online, easy peasy. Packed a small bag, mostly casual stuff, comfortable shoes – knew I’d be walking a lot.
Arriving and Seeing the Place
Drove down on a Friday afternoon. Got to the Baseball Heaven place Saturday morning. And man, it’s quite the setup. Fields everywhere. Seriously, just baseball fields as far as you could see. Turf fields mostly, looked really nice.
Found a parking spot, which was a bit crazy, lots of cars. Paid the entry fee, wasn’t too bad. Right away, you could hear it – bats cracking, crowds cheering, umpires yelling. Games were already going strong on multiple fields.
Walking Around and Watching Games
I spent most of the day just wandering. Didn’t have a specific team to follow, so I just drifted from field to field. It was pure baseball everywhere.

- Watched some of the younger kids play. Full of energy, bless ’em.
- Saw some older teens, high school age. Much faster game, more serious. Some real talent out there.
- Checked out the concession stands. Grabbed a hot dog and a soda. Standard ballpark food, hit the spot.
- Sat in the bleachers for a bit behind home plate for one game. Then walked along the outfield fences for others. Just tried to soak in the different vibes.
You see all types. Parents super intense, coaches pacing back and forth. But mostly, just kids having a blast playing ball. The atmosphere was buzzing. Lots of families making a whole weekend out of it.
What Stood Out
Honestly, the scale of it. Just how focused it is on baseball. And the quality of the fields was impressive. It felt like a proper, dedicated place for tournaments. Saw one game that was tied late, went into extra innings. Both teams were fighting hard, parents were on the edge of their seats. That was pretty cool to watch.
The sheer amount of activity was something else. Non-stop games, teams warming up, people milling about. It really lives up to the “Baseball Heaven” name if you’re into youth baseball.
Heading Home
By late afternoon, I felt like I’d seen enough. Feet were tired from all the walking. Headed back to the motel, then drove home the next day. Overall, a good trip. Glad I finally went. It’s exactly what it sounds like – a huge place dedicated to baseball tournaments.
If you got kids playing travel ball, or you just love watching the youth game, it’s definitely an experience to check out sometime. That was my run-through of the Baseball Heaven tournaments in 2023. Just a day spent watching a whole lot of baseball.
