Alright, so I started thinking about Black tag teams in WWE the other day. Just popped into my head while I was messing around, organizing some old stuff I found.

It got me remembering watching wrestling way back when. You know, you turn it on, see who’s feuding with who. Sometimes you just watch for the big moves, other times you actually get into the stories they’re telling.
Remembering the Teams
So I tried to actually list some out in my head. You start thinking, and names pop up. Some were really big for a while, others maybe not so much, depends on when you were watching, I guess.
My Process Was Simple:
- Just sat back and thought about different eras.
- Tried to picture the entrances, the matches.
- Pulled up memories of specific moments, maybe a championship win or a big breakup.
It wasn’t like some big research project, you know? More like digging through my own memory banks. Found myself remembering guys like Booker T and Stevie Ray – Harlem Heat over in WCW first, but Booker had that huge WWE run later. Then you got teams like Cryme Tyme, JTG and Shad. They had their run, definitely memorable characters.
More recently, The New Day, Kofi, Woods, Big E. Man, those guys took off. You couldn’t miss ’em. And The Street Profits, Dawkins and Ford, tons of energy there.

Just Watching and Thinking
It’s funny how wrestling works. You get attached to these performers, these teams. You see them week after week. It’s not always about who’s the strongest or fastest, sometimes it’s just about who connects, who makes you wanna watch.
So yeah, I spent a bit of time just thinking back on those teams. Didn’t really lead anywhere specific, just a trip down memory lane spurred by that thought: Black tag teams in WWE. Good times watching some of those guys.
