Okay, so, football season is almost here, and you know what that means: fantasy football! I was getting ready to draft my team and realized I needed a killer team name. Something funny, something Broncos-related, you know? So I dove headfirst into brainstorming.

First things first: the brainstorming session.
- I started by just writing down every Broncos player I could think of: Russell Wilson, Javonte Williams, Courtland Sutton… the whole crew.
- Then, I started playing around with puns. “Russelmania” was an obvious one, but too generic. I needed something more… Denver.
- Next, I googled “funny denver broncos fantasy football names” – yeah, I cheated a little. Got some decent ideas but nothing that really grabbed me.
Time to get creative.
I started thinking about Denver itself. The mountains, the altitude, the orange and blue… And then it hit me: “Mile High Misery.” It’s kinda dark, kinda funny, and definitely Broncos. But I kept going, just in case.
I tried combining player names with other pop culture references. “Sutton Impact” (playing off Randy Orton’s wrestling move) was a contender for a minute. And then there was “Javonte’s Inferno,” which I thought was pretty metal.
Narrowing it down and making a decision.
After a solid hour of scribbling, deleting, and laughing to myself, I had a short list:
- Mile High Misery
- Sutton Impact
- Javonte’s Inferno
- Wilson’s Wranglers (kinda corny, I know)
I ended up going with “Mile High Misery.” It just felt right. It’s got a good ring to it, and it reflects the Broncos’ sometimes-painful but always-interesting journey.
Now, wish me luck this season! Hopefully, my team lives up to the name… in a good way!
