Alright, let’s dive into my rapidfire TFT comp journey today. It was a wild ride, full of ups and downs, but hey, that’s TFT for ya!

The Initial Idea: I was watching some streams earlier, and saw this dude crushing it with a comp that just spat out damage. So, I was like, “Yeah, I gotta try that!”. The basic gist was to get a bunch of units that cast frequently, hence the “rapidfire” part, and stack them with mana items.
Early Game Scramble: Started off rough, honestly. Couldn’t hit my early units, kept getting contested. I was aiming for a strong early board to preserve HP, but the RNG gods were not on my side. Had to improvise! Ended up pivoting into a makeshift board with whatever 2-stars I could find. Lost a few rounds, took some damage, but hey, gotta stay flexible, right?
Mid-Game Transition: This is where things started to get interesting. I managed to snag a key unit for my target comp around level 6. I slowly started transitioning my board, selling off the old units and replacing them with the core components of the rapidfire comp. I was also focusing on building mana items – Chalice, Blue Buff, Shojin’s, the works. Getting those items online felt HUGE.
Itemization Woes: Speaking of items, oh man, the item RNG in this game can be brutal. I had a clear idea of what items I needed, but the game kept throwing me bows and swords! Had to make do with what I got, and try to optimize as best as I could. A suboptimal item is better than no item, that’s my motto.
Late Game Stabilization: Around level 8, I finally got most of my core units. The comp started to come online, and the damage output was insane! Units were casting spells non-stop, melting the enemy board in seconds. But, of course, everyone else was also leveling up, so the competition was fierce.

Positioning Battles: Positioning became crucial in the late game. Had to think about frontline placement, backline protection, and countering enemy comps. Scouted my opponents’ boards constantly, adjusting my positioning accordingly. It was a constant game of cat and mouse, trying to outsmart everyone else.
The Final Showdown: Made it to the top 3, which was a win in my book considering the rough start. Faced off against a super-tanky comp in the final round. My rapidfire comp was doing work, but the enemy frontline just wouldn’t die! In the end, I lost a close one. Second place isn’t bad though, right?
What I Learned: This game reinforced the importance of adaptability. You can’t always force a comp, you gotta be willing to pivot and play what the game gives you. Itemization is key, but don’t get too hung up on perfect items. And positioning, oh man, positioning can make or break you in the late game.
So yeah, that was my rapidfire TFT comp experience. It was a blast, even with the RNG trolls. I’ll definitely be trying it again, but maybe with a slightly different twist next time.
