Okay, so, “gucci blue leaks,” right? Sounds kinda shady, I know, but hear me out. I stumbled on this thread somewhere – can’t remember exactly where, maybe some forum or something – talking about this color profile that supposedly makes your images pop like crazy, gives them that “Gucci” look, whatever that means. I was bored, figured, why not?

First thing I did, obviously, was try to find this “leak.” Turns out, it wasn’t exactly a file you download. It was more like a series of forum posts and comments describing how to tweak your color settings in Photoshop. Lots of trial and error involved. I started with a basic photo I took, some random street scene, nothing special.
The core of it seemed to be messing with the blue and cyan channels. Apparently, the “Gucci blue” thing is all about making those colors super vibrant and adding a certain coolness to the overall image. So, I dove into Photoshop’s Camera Raw filter, where you can mess with the color mixer thing.
- I bumped up the saturation on the blues, like, a lot. Maybe too much at first, it looked kinda cartoonish.
- Then I played with the hue, shifting the blues slightly towards cyan, just like they suggested.
- The cyan channel was next. Less saturation here, just a touch to bring out the details without making it overwhelming.
- Crucially, I dropped the luminance of the blues. This is where it started to get interesting. Made the blues deeper, richer.
After that, I messed with the overall color balance. Added a tiny bit of split toning, pushing the highlights slightly towards yellow and the shadows towards blue. Sounds weird, but it adds a subtle contrast that makes the colors stand out even more.
Honestly, the initial results were pretty bad. Way too saturated, looked like something out of a bad Instagram filter. But I kept tweaking it, going back and forth, comparing it to some images I found online that had that “Gucci blue” vibe. It took a few hours, seriously. Lots of undoing and redoing.
In the end, I got something that I was pretty happy with. It definitely had that vibrant, slightly cool tone they were talking about. The blues really popped, but not in an unnatural way. It gave the image a whole new feel. I even tried it on a few portraits, and it worked surprisingly well, especially with darker skin tones.

Was it worth it? Maybe. It’s definitely a fun technique to play around with. It’s not a magic bullet, and it won’t make a bad photo good. But if you’re looking to add a bit of a unique look to your images, it’s worth experimenting with. Just be prepared to spend some time tweaking the settings until you get it right. And don’t overdo it with the saturation!
I’ll probably keep messing with it and see what other cool effects I can achieve. Who knows, maybe I’ll even stumble on the real “Gucci blue leak” someday!
