Alright, so I decided I really wanted to catch the Celtics playing the Nuggets. You know, seeing Tatum and Jokic go head-to-head, felt like a must-see game this season. Figured it’d be a good time.

First thing I did was hop online. My go-to usually is to check the official team site first, maybe the arena’s site. Did that. Yeah, not much luck there, pretty much everything looked sold out, or the only seats left were crazy expensive single seats.
The Ticket Hunt Begins
So, plan B. I started digging into those resale sites. You know the ones. Ticketmaster, StubHub, SeatGeek, Vivid Seats… opened like five tabs at once. Man, it was kind of a mess. Prices were all over the place. One site would show a price, then you click through, and suddenly there’s like a hundred bucks in fees tacked on. Super annoying.
I spent a good hour just comparing sections and prices across the different platforms. Some seats looked decent, but the price was just nuts. Others were cheaper, but way up in the nosebleeds. You gotta really look at those seat maps, try and figure out if you’ll actually be able to see the court or just tiny ants running around.
- Checked upper levels first – trying to be budget-conscious, you know.
- Looked at corner sections – sometimes you find a slightly better deal there.
- Compared prices WITH fees – learned that lesson the hard way before.
Making the Call
After clicking around, refreshing pages, and muttering about service fees for what felt like forever, I found a pair on SeatGeek. They weren’t perfect seats, upper level, kind of near a corner, but the price, including all the stupid fees, felt slightly less outrageous than the other options I was seeing for that specific game. It’s always a gamble with these resale sites, but they seemed okay.
Pulling the trigger wasn’t easy. You always have that moment of hesitation, like, am I really paying this much? But hey, you only live once, and I really wanted to see this matchup. So, I added them to the cart, went through the checkout process, typed in my card info, and hit ‘confirm’.

Tickets Secured
Got the confirmation email pretty quick, which was a relief. The tickets showed up in the app a little later. Digital tickets, of course, everything’s digital now. Just gotta make sure my phone’s charged on game day, right?
So yeah, that was the process. A bit more of a hassle and more expensive than I’d like, honestly. Seems like getting tickets for big games keeps getting tougher. But, mission accomplished. Got the Celtics-Nuggets tickets secured. Now I’m just looking forward to actually going to the game. Hopefully, it lives up to the hype (and the price tag!).
