Okay, so I got really into Conor McGregor’s style recently. Not just the fighting, but the whole look, you know? Dude’s got swagger. So I decided, “I’m gonna try and capture some of that McGregor magic.”

First, I watched a bunch of his interviews and press conferences. Not for the trash talk, but to really study what he was wearing. I noticed a few key things:
- Fitted Suits: Always sharp, tailored suits. Nothing baggy or off-the-rack looking.
- Bold Colors and Patterns: He’s not afraid of a bright blue suit or a crazy floral shirt.
- Accessories: Pocket squares, lapel pins, nice watches… the details matter.
- Confidence: This is the biggest thing. He wears the clothes, the clothes don’t wear him.
So, I started small. I already had a decent navy suit, but it was a bit…blah. I took it to a tailor. Nothing fancy, just a local guy. I explained I wanted it more fitted, more “modern.” He pinned it up, adjusted the sleeves, and tapered the legs. Cost me like $50, but it made a HUGE difference.
Next, I needed some shirts. I skipped the plain white ones and went for some with a little more personality. I found a couple of light blue ones with subtle patterns, and even a bolder one with a small floral print. I was a little nervous about the floral one, but I figured, “Hey, McGregor would rock it.”

I also picked up a few pocket squares. Again, nothing too crazy, but something to add a pop of color. I learned how to fold them – there are like a million ways, but I stuck with the basic “presidential fold.” Looks classy, not too try-hard.

The biggest challenge? The confidence. I’m not gonna lie, I felt a little self-conscious at first, especially wearing the bolder shirt. But I reminded myself, “Channel your inner McGregor.” I stood up straighter, walked with a little more purpose, and you know what? It worked! I actually felt more confident. People even complimented me on my style.
It’s not about becoming Conor McGregor. It’s about taking inspiration from his style and making it your own.
It made me realize it’s not just about the clothes, but how you wear them.
