Okay, so I saw these “Bengals Super Bowl Champions” shirts popping up everywhere online, and I thought, “Hey, I can probably make one of those myself!” I’m no professional artist, but I do like messing around with crafts and stuff.

Getting Started
First, I grabbed a plain orange t-shirt from my closet. You know, the kind you get for like five bucks at a craft store? Nothing fancy. I washed and dried it first, just to make sure it wouldn’t shrink later after I put all this work into it.
The Design
Next, I needed a design. I jumped on my computer and did a quick search for some Bengals logos and “Super Bowl Champions” fonts. I found a few that I liked and played around with them in a simple image editor – nothing too complicated, just resizing and arranging things until it looked decent.
- I used a bold, blocky font for “Super Bowl Champions.”
- I found a pretty cool Bengals tiger head logo.
- I added “2023” (wishful thinking!) below the logo.
Transfer Time
This is where it got a little tricky. I decided to use iron-on transfer paper. So, I printed my design onto the transfer paper, making sure to follow the instructions on the package (mirror image, people!). Then, I carefully cut out the design, leaving a little bit of a border.
I heated up my iron – no steam! – and placed the t-shirt on a hard, flat surface. I carefully positioned the transfer paper, design-side down, onto the shirt. Then, with firm, even pressure, I ironed over the transfer paper for the recommended amount of time. It felt like forever! I made sure to get all the edges really well.
The Big Reveal
After letting it cool completely (this is important!), I slowly peeled off the backing paper. And… it worked! Mostly. There were a couple of tiny spots where the transfer didn’t stick perfectly, but overall, I was pretty happy with it.

It’s definitely not professional quality, but it’s my own custom-made Bengals Super Bowl Champions shirt, and that’s pretty cool. Plus, I saved a bunch of money by doing it myself!
