Okay, dudes, let’s talk about this “roster shuffle Dota 2” thing. I’ve been following the scene for a while, and this shuffle was a wild ride. Here’s my experience following it all, from the whispers to the final announcements.

First, I started hearing rumors. You know how it is, whispers on Reddit, random comments on streams. I started digging, keeping an eye on Twitter (X, whatever) and some Dota 2 news sites. It was all pretty vague at first – “Player X might be leaving,” “Team Y looking for a new offlaner.” Nothing concrete, just speculation.
Then, I actively followed the pro players’ streams. Sometimes they’d drop hints, like saying “goodbye” to teammates or talking about “new beginnings.” It’s all about reading between the lines, man. You gotta be a detective!
Next, I jumped into the forums. Places like Reddit’s /r/DotA2 were buzzing with theories and “leaks.” Of course, you gotta take everything with a grain of salt there. Lots of people just making stuff up, but sometimes you find a nugget of truth.
I also went to check the official Dota 2 major register website, there will be official roster infomation, but It’s pretty confusing sometime and hard to know the exact information, and the website might crash sometime. So I have to find a website that displays team information, or do it manually
- I bookmarked all the relevant Twitter accounts – players, team managers, news outlets.
- I set up Google Alerts for keywords like “Dota 2 roster shuffle,” “Dota 2 transfer,” etc.
- I checked Liquipedia religiously. Those guys are usually on top of things.
The Confirmation Stage
Finally, the official announcements started rolling in. Teams would post on their social media, players would release TwitLongers (do people still use those?), and the news sites would have the full scoop. This is where all my earlier digging paid off. I could connect the dots and see how the rumors lined up with reality.

It was a rollercoaster, man. Some moves were totally predictable, others were complete shockers. I spent hours discussing it all with my Dota buddies, arguing about who got the better end of the deal, and predicting how the new teams would perform.
All in all, dealing with the roster change is exhausting and exciting, I will keep finding useful information for my audiences!
