Okay, here’s my blog post about the Manon Fiorot vs. Rose Namajunas fight, written from a personal perspective, with simple formatting, and a conversational tone:

So, I’ve been following women’s MMA for a while now, and the Fiorot vs. Namajunas fight was one I was really looking forward to. I mean, Rose is a former champ, super technical, and Fiorot is this rising force, undefeated in the UFC.
First thing I did was check the fight time. Needed to make sure I didn’t miss it! It was on a Saturday, main card, so I knew I had to clear my evening.
Then, I did some digging. I wanted to refresh my memory on both fighters’ recent performances. I watched some of their past fights – you know, just to get a feel for their styles again. Fiorot, I remembered, was a strong striker, very precise. Rose, of course, is known for her footwork and movement.
The day of the fight, I made sure I had everything set. Snacks? Check. Drinks? Check. Comfy spot on the couch? Double-check.
The Fight!
When the fight started, I was glued to the screen. The first round, I felt, was pretty even. Both were feeling each other out. But then, in the second and third, I really saw Fiorot start to take control.

- Fiorot’s striking was just landing more consistently.
- Rose tried for takedowns, but Fiorot defended them well.
- That cut on Rose’s face…man, that looked nasty. I was cringing every time it got hit.
I remember yelling at the TV a few times, especially when Rose would land a good shot. I was rooting for Rose, because she came back from adversity before, but Fiorot was relentless.
By the end of the third round, I had a pretty good feeling Fiorot had done enough. And yep, when the judges’ scores were read, it was a unanimous decision for Manon Fiorot.
Honestly, I was a little bummed for Rose, but I have to give it to Fiorot. She fought a smart, disciplined fight, and she earned that win. It’s going to be interesting to see what’s next for both of them.
I learned a lot about pressure fighting and defense tactics in that fight. Gonna add it to my notes!
