Okay, so I’ve been messing around with this thing called “lunar pleniluna zzz” lately, and let me tell you, it’s been a bit of a rollercoaster. I wanted to get better sleep, and, you know, I saw some stuff online about how the moon might affect things. So I thought, why not?

First, I downloaded this app, also called “lunar pleniluna zzz”. It’s supposed to track the moon phases and give you some insights. It looked kinda pretty, with all the moon graphics and stuff.
My Experiment Begins
My plan was simple.
- Track my sleep for a month, alongside the moon phases.
- Note how I felt each morning – tired, energized, whatever.
- See if there were any patterns. Like, did I sleep worse on a full moon?
The first week, I was really diligent. I opened the app every night, checked the moon phase, and then made a note in my little sleep journal. I even tried to go to bed at the same time each night, which, let me tell you, is harder than it sounds when you have Netflix.
The app itself was easy enough to use. It showed you the current moon phase, and there was a calendar where you could look at past and future phases. I mostly just glanced at it, though. I wasn’t diving deep into any lunar science or anything.

Mid-Month Musings
After a couple of weeks, I started to get a bit… lazy. Okay, maybe “lazy” is a strong word. Let’s say “less focused.” I’d sometimes forget to check the app, or I’d scribble some quick notes in my journal without really thinking. My bedtime started to creep later and later.
I did notice one thing, though. Around the full moon, I did seem to have a bit more trouble falling asleep. It wasn’t anything major, but I definitely tossed and turned more. Could be the moon, could be stress, could be that extra cup of coffee I had. Hard to say.
The Results (Sort Of)
By the end of the month, my journal was a mess of half-filled pages and random notes. My sleep schedule was all over the place. I definitely didn’t stick to the plan as well as I should have.
But, looking back, I did learn a few things:
- Even if the moon does affect sleep, it’s probably not the only factor. My own habits (like staying up late) definitely played a bigger role.
- Tracking your sleep, even imperfectly, can be kind of interesting. It makes you more aware of your patterns.
- Maybe I’m just not cut out for rigorous scientific experiments.
So, did “lunar pleniluna zzz” revolutionize my sleep? Not really. But it was a fun little experiment, and it got me thinking more about my sleep habits. Maybe I’ll try it again sometime, and actually stick to the plan this time. Maybe.
