Alright, so I wanted to get some Brontos spawning in a specific area in my Ark: Survival Evolved game. I’ve messed around with spawns before, but it’s always a bit of a hit-or-miss thing, you know? So, this time, I decided to actually write down what I did so I wouldn’t forget (and maybe help some folks out, too).

Firing Up the Game and Getting to the Right Spot
First things first, I loaded up Ark. I’m playing single-player, so it was pretty straightforward. I jumped into my existing world where I wanted these big guys to show up.
Then, I needed to get to the area I had in mind. It was a nice, flat grassy plain – seemed like perfect Bronto territory. It’s important to be in the general vicinity of where you want the new dinos to spawn, otherwise this whole thing can get really wonky.
Console Commands: My Best Friend (Sometimes)
Once I was there, I opened up the console. If you don’t know, you usually hit the “Tab” key on your keyboard. That brings up this little text box where you can type in commands.
The first command I used was “enablecheats”. It needs an admin password,so you have to input like this “enablecheats yourpassword”.This lets the game know you’re the boss and want to do some, uh, modifications.
The Main Event: Summoning the Brontos
Okay, now for the actual spawning. The command I used this time was:

cheat spawndino "Blueprint'/Game/PrimalEarth/Dinos/Bronto/Bronto_Character_*_Character_BP'" 1 1 1 150
Let me break that down, ‘cause it looks like a bunch of gibberish:
- cheat spawndino: This tells the game, “Hey, create a dinosaur!”
- “Blueprint’/Game/PrimalEarth/Dinos/Bronto/Bronto_Character_*_Character_BP’”: This long string is the “blueprint” path for a Bronto. It’s basically the game’s internal code for “Bronto.”
- 1 1 1: I’m pretty sure these numbers have to do with the spawn location relative to where you’re standing. I usually just leave them as “1 1 1” and it works fine.
- 150: This is the level of the Bronto I wanted. I figured 150 was a nice, high level to start with.
I typed that whole thing in (carefully!), hit Enter, and boom! A big ol’ Bronto appeared right in front of me. Almost stepped on my character, actually.
Rinse and Repeat (and a Little Bit of Luck)
I did this a few more times, just typing the command in and hitting Enter again. Each time, another Bronto showed up. I got about five or six of them before I decided that was enough for now.
Remember, sometimes the spawns can be a little unpredictable. You might need to move around a bit, or even leave the area and come back, for the game to fully register the changes.

And that’s pretty much it! Now I’ve got a herd of Brontos roaming around my chosen area. It’s always satisfying when these things actually work out. Good luck if you give it a try!
