Okay, so I’ve been wanting a Rickie Fowler autograph for a while. I mean, the guy’s got style, right? And he’s a pretty awesome golfer. So I started thinking, how do I actually get one? I figured there were a few ways to go about it.

My Hunt for Rickie’s Signature
First, I thought about going to a tournament. That seemed like the most obvious way. I looked up some upcoming PGA Tour events, saw where Rickie was playing, and… wow, tickets can be pricey! Plus, there’s the whole travel thing. I’m not exactly rolling in dough, so I had to consider if it was really worth it. I did some digging and it would cost me a bomb, that is a lot!
Plan B: I decided to check out online, you know. Saw some signed stuff – hats, photos, golf balls… the works. But, man, you gotta be careful. There’s a lot of fake stuff out there, and I didn’t want to get ripped off. I read some reviews, looked for sellers with good reputations, and tried to find items with certificates of authenticity. Still, it felt a little risky. I’d prefer doing it on my own.
- Go to a tournament (expensive, but probably the most reliable).
- Buy online (convenient, but risky).
I found a tournament which is not far from my place, So I jumped into my car and drove over. I arrived pretty early, found a good spot near the practice green. The tournament not even started yet, it was just practice round, but there were a lot of us * a while, Rickie showed up! He was practicing his putting, and I just waited patiently, After he finished, he started walking towards the clubhouse, and that’s when I made my move.I politely called out, “Rickie, could you sign my hat?”
He stopped, smiled, and walked over. I handed him my hat and a marker, and he signed it! I thanked him, he nodded, and that was it. I had my Rickie Fowler autographed hat! It was much easier than I thought!
It wasn’t a super long interaction, but it was still really awesome. Getting the autograph in person felt way more special than buying something online. Plus, I got to see him play a little, which was a bonus!
