Okay, so I got really into this vintage sports photo thing recently. I wanted to find a cool picture of Lou Gehrig and Babe Ruth together, you know, a classic. I figured it’d be a neat piece of history to have.
Digging Around
I started by just, you know, searching around online. Typed in “Lou Gehrig Babe Ruth photo” and went from there. I figured there’d be tons of stuff out there, these guys were huge!
Sifting Through the Results
- First, I just hit up the usual image searches. You know, just scrolling through pages and pages of stuff.
- Then I thought, maybe there are some dedicated sports history sites? So I tried looking specifically for those.
- I even checked out some auction sites, thinking maybe someone was selling an original print or something. No luck there, though.
Narrowing it Down
There were so many pictures! Some were just, like, team photos with them way in the background. Others were really grainy and hard to see. I wanted something clear, where you could really see their faces.
Getting a Bit Frustrated
Honestly, it took longer than I thought! It’s not like these guys are obscure. There were tons of photos, but finding one that felt right was taking a while. I started to wonder if I was being too picky.
Eureka!
Finally, I stumbled on it! Don’t ask me exactly where, I was clicking around so much. But there it was – a really great shot of them both, looking relaxed and friendly.
It was Perfect. And it was exactly what I was looking for.
