Okay, so I’ve been trying to get a good handle on the MSU football team’s lineup, and let me tell you, finding a reliable depth chart is a bit of a pain. I figured I’d share my process, so maybe it’ll help someone else out there.
The Initial Search
First, I just did a simple Google search for “msu football depth chart”. I got a bunch of results, but a lot of them were either outdated or from kinda sketchy websites. I didn’t want to get my info from some random forum post, you know?
Digging Deeper
Then, I checked out the official MSU athletics website. I figured that had to have the most up-to-date info, right? Well, I found some roster information, but it wasn’t really organized in a depth chart format. It was more like a list of all the players, which isn’t super helpful when you’re trying to see who’s backing up whom.
Trying Some News Sites
Next, I hit up some of the bigger sports news sites. I figured they’d have reporters covering the team who might have put together a depth chart. I found a few articles that talked about the team’s lineup, but they were mostly focused on the starters. They didn’t really get into the second and third-string guys.
Getting Creative (and a Little Frustrated)
At this point, I was starting to get a little annoyed. I mean, how hard is it to find a simple depth chart? I even tried searching for specific positions, like “MSU football quarterback depth chart”. Still, not much luck. I mostly got articles about the starting quarterback battle, not a full list of who was in the running.
Finally found some!
- I started piecing together information from different sources.
- I read a bunch of articles and watched some videos of press conferences.
- I looked for any hints about who was playing where in practice.
The Result (For Now)
I think I have made a basic chart. It is not 100% complete, but it’s definitely better than nothing! I am going to keep looking and try to make some update.
