Alright, guys, so I got this project on my hands, about making some Michigan Jumpman football jerseys. Sounds pretty cool, right? Let me tell you, it’s been a bit of a ride. I started off just sketching some ideas on paper. You know, just doodling during my coffee break. Nothing fancy, just trying to get a feel for what these jerseys could look like.
Then, I decided to take it up a notch. I got myself some fabric samples. I wanted to see what kind of material would work best. It’s one thing to draw something, but you gotta see how it feels, how it drapes, all that jazz. I spent a good few days just feeling up different fabrics, comparing textures and weights. It might sound boring, but trust me, it makes a huge difference in the end.
Finding the Right Colors
Next up was the color. You can’t have a Michigan jersey without the right maize and blue. So, I dove into color matching. I compared tons of swatches, holding them up in different lights to make sure they were just right. I even used one of those color picker apps to make sure I was nailing the official Michigan colors. It’s all about the details, you know?
Designing the Jumpman
Then came the fun part, working on the Jumpman logo. I played around with different sizes and placements. Should it be on the chest? The shoulder? How big should it be? I printed out a bunch of different versions and taped them onto some old t-shirts to get a visual.
- Printing: I printed out the different sizes of the Jumpman logo.
- Taping: I used tape to stick the logos onto the fabric samples and old t-shirts.
- Comparing: I spent time comparing the different sizes and placements of the logos.
After all that, I finally had a design I was happy with. It wasn’t easy, and I definitely made some mistakes along the way, like that time I almost ordered a hundred yards of the wrong shade of blue. But hey, that’s how you learn, right?
Now, I’m just waiting to get some prototypes made. Fingers crossed they turn out as good as I’m hoping! I just got some fabric and printed out all the Jumpman logos. Then I sewed all the fabric and logos together. This is the final version of the Michigan Jumpman football jersey! I’m so excited about the result! It’s been a long process, but it’s all worth it when you see the final product taking shape.
