Okay, so, I’ve been meaning to get this down for a while now, and today’s the day. I was trying to collect all the entrance music used in UFC 300, that event was crazy! Let me tell you, getting this done was a bit of a journey, but totally worth it in the end. I watched the UFC 300, all the fighters’ entrances were awesome, I really like those songs. So I started to collect the songs, that’s the beginning.
First off, I started by looking up the UFC 300 results. I’ve got my favorite website, so I went there to find every fighter on the card. That was easy. It had the results from the prelims all the way to the main event. I carefully recorded every fighter’s name.
Next up, finding the actual songs. This was where the real work started. I knew some fighters had specific songs they always used, but others? No clue. Luckily, some websites that list UFC entrance music, but not all of them were updated immediately after the event. So, I thought, why not try some music recognition apps? They are always my life-saver.
I used Shazam and SoundHound while rewatching the event. I played the entrance part and hoped the apps could pick up the songs. Man, it was hit or miss. Sometimes, the app got it instantly. Other times, nothing. For the ones the apps couldn’t catch, I turned to social media.
Twitter, Reddit, and even some MMA forums were on my list. I searched for each fighter’s name and “walkout song” or “entrance music.” There’s always someone who knows, right? It took some digging, and not every search was successful, but I managed to find a good chunk of them that way. I had to compare different sources to make sure I had the right song.
Here are some I collected:
- Alex Pereira: I tried to find his entrance music, but it was a bit tricky. Turns out, it was some traditional indigenous Brazilian music.
- Max Holloway: “Hawaiian Kickboxer” by Moke Boy. This one was easier to find, and it’s a classic for him.
- Kayla Harrison: She came out to “Invincible” by Adelitas Way. Pretty fitting, right?
- Aljamain Sterling: He used “Slippin” by DMX. A classic, no doubt.
- Jim Miller: For his 43rd UFC fight, he walked out to “Bad Company” by Five Finger Death Punch. It was epic.
- Bo Nickal: He came out to “The Next Episode” by Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Kurupt, and Nate Dogg.
- Arman Tsarukyan: Walked out to “Losing Us” by P A I N.
I kept going like this, one fighter at a time. I checked, double-checked, and even triple-checked to make sure I was getting the right song. Finally, after hours of work, I had a list. It wasn’t perfect, I definitely missed a few, but it was pretty comprehensive.
So that’s how I got all the walkout songs from UFC 300. It was a fun little project, and I learned a lot along the way. Plus, now I have a killer playlist for my workouts!
